I had a really positive experience at the court today thanks to Officer Rocky. He was incredibly supportive, patient, and guided us through the entire process clearly and kindly. He even stayed back after hours to make sure we understood everything. His professionalism and genuine care made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you so much

Don’t even try to go to this court, I had my first ever offence in 10 years of driving in NSW, I requested this elder female judge to let go as i have good record, she doesn’t even know if you hold an overseas license for a year or two and then get a NSW license, all your offences get transferred to NSW license, nothing gets hide but she is shouting in the court room only the time matters when you get your NSW license, instead have some mercy on people having hard financial situation and with really good record, she making people pay even more than they suppose, my fine was 549$ and now i have to pay 586$, wasted my time as well.
Well you can’t do anything when other person has power, lot of people misuse it.
I hope God will have mercy on you when you do any mistake Miss R

Horrid. From reading previous reviews, I knew I was going to be in for a ride. Threatened with jail time if I drive again while suspended. Abit steep for a first offence. Even with all the apologies and references on the world, meant nothing. I'm seeing australia will rather see you suffer than actually help you. I get it... there's a thousand idiots on the road, but there is also a thousand road rules and cameras popping out of thin air. Government is their name and revenue is their game!!!

I came here a few times as an interpreting student & it's quite chaotic for a small court house. It's old & ugly & really needs an upgrade.

Also, why is the air conditioning always blasted to the max? I had to wear a puffer jacket in there in summer. Can't they turn it down?

Another prime example of our failure of a legal system. If you go here and get the Judge who loves to tell people he was a Coroner once upon a time then you are in trouble. It felt like he was scorned about once being a Coroner and now he's just a nobody doing menial traffic offense stuff. He is rude, obnoxious, talks to you in a condescending manner and appears annoyed by your presence. He will ignore evidence and convict you anyway.

Thanks to the amazing lady named Leslie behind the desk who helped me during a challenging time. What truly stood out to me was her unwavering dedication in assisting me with every aspect of my situation. She patiently went through the paperwork, explaining each step of the process and answering all my questions with clarity and precision. Keep her at all costs.

Today 17/8/23 at 3pm, I came to Burwood Court House and was served with the receptionist at counter 3 and was doing well. After I filled in all forms, I came back to her but she had other customers and she looked very busy, so she referred me to her colleague on counter 1, which was empty but the lady didn’t seem happy to serve and this ruined my mood and It took me 1,5 hours with her and nothing sorted. I won’t come back to that place anymore and the officer referred me to go to local court in city at John Maddison Tower. Very bad experience with the receptionist and not happy with the service. People like that should have not worked as receptionist!!! So sad…

Hello everyone this review is to help you out if this is your first time in a court house.

We will skip the part where the police had stopped you for whatever reason they had at that time, they will give you a small A5 size yellow letter indicating the location of the court. (Normally their handwriting is not the best, so ensure to ger their name correctly)

The court house opens by 09:00 am, and all of the trails starts by 09:30 am.

You will go in and you will check by a police officer, and you will be X rayed. After that you will go to the second floor and then you will find your name on a list in alphabetical order. Starting with your last name first.

The courts are simply rooms, normally there are six rooms. Before you enter, there will one employee will ask you if you want to pleed guilty or not guilty.

You will that if you have a lawyer, they will allow them to go ahead of you.

You will go inside then, you will wait. Everything will be recorded. You will have to stand up, once the judge has arrived.

You will need to address the judge with "Your Honour" as a way of respect.

There are more information to this comment, but this should give you a good head start.

Ensure to wear smart or at least casual smart.
