Byford accountants are amazing! Obviously they're not as cheap as H&R Block but you pay for the quality and the service. You walk in and they're super friendly you even get a free coffee while you wait. The process is easy and simple and afterwards if you do a tax return they give you a free little gift too. I do not think I will be going anywhere else for my tax returns.

I recently used Byford Accountants, during a tough time in my life, and where I usually did them myself as I learnt how to do this many years ago from a registered tax agent who taught me, and kept up to date on changes over the years.

This time, I needed to use someone else, and I called BA first, due to their high star review. I asked the receptionist if I can please talk to and have my return managed by someone who is great with sensitive cases, and they put me through to Megan. As I was telling her what I needed done, and why I couldn’t do it myself this time, I broke out into tears, and I’m not usually a crier (and there’s nothing wrong with it if you are, either!) - just emphasising what mental state I was in, and she was so calm and positive and told me don’t worry about a thing, she would make sure it was in no way stressful, she’d help with everything, and to just relax, I’d come in as soon as they could fit me in, and she did exactly what she said she would, probably more!

She’s one of those people who genuinely cares, and I suppose part of my line of work requires a need to be able to read people well, and she is 100% authentic with whatever she says, and has some kind of magic fairy dust to make what you feel like is one of the worst days in your life, into a much better one.

I won’t detail any specifics as I imagine fees, appointments, requirements to do beforehand or bring along would be different for everyone, and I can’t compare her to anyone else, but I find it very hard to believe there are many like her. The receptionists are all just as nice too, there is some parking, their HR person is doing something right!

I’m unsure of what tax returns usually cost (the person who taught me was an ex bf of 10 years’ father), but what I paid, I felt was very reasonable for her time, effort, preparation and appointment, and she is such a good person.

My case isn’t fully complete yet, but I’m posting this as there are two weeks left until the deadline, so if you’re in the area, use Megan, and if you’re not in the area, use Megan. She’s worth every penny.
