My fiancé and I were recommended Eric by a business associate, we should’ve trusted our gut and ran in the opposite direction at first meeting. We had 2 simple straight forward tax returns to file. He (against our better judgement) had us pay and sign for the returns before even starting the files. Trusting that he was the professional we reluctantly agreed. He then tells us we had an unfiled return for the previous year. It didn’t make much sense to us since we are always up to date on the taxes but again trusting that he was the professional we agreed. He then had us sign and pay for another year. After a few weeks had passed I called for an update. He had not contacted us reguarding where the refunds would be deposited. After providing the banking Information we were given quite a substantial number as a refund. A few more weeks pass and still no refund. My fiancé finally contacted government to see what the issue was. Turns out the prior year had already been filed like we originally thought and Eric had REFILED taxes that’s were already done, adjusting numbers he had no business adjusting and we didn’t have a return coming. We Now OWED the government money because of these ridiculous mistakes. When contacting Eric about this mix up he refused to amend his mistake and did not even apologise for his actions. It was a terrible experience and we would not recommend his “ expertise”. To anyone who values their money. Steer clear of him.
