I have been seeing Dom for years. He & the staff at Cairns Accounting & Tax are all absolutely wonderful 😊.... Of course you could always make my Tax return a few million $ 😁.

In October 15 I attended an appointment with Dominic at Cairns Tax Accountants to prepare my tax assessment. I supplied a flash drive with most of the information required, a spreadsheet with tab and calculations in their categories along with folders with the information required. Dominic compiled a list of further information required. I advised him that I would gather the information, save it on the usb and return it to his office, which I did.
During the appointment I did not think I was being listened to and later I was not surprised when I received a request for the list. He was advised it was handed into his office weeks prior.

In December I received information through a third party that Dominic would not prepare my tax. The party was in the middle of a dispute with Dominic and advised him that it was very unprofessional to involve anyone, other than his client.

In January the third party received information that Dominic would now do my tax, that it would cost more than first estimated. Again the third party advised Dominic that they did not wish to be involved and it was very unprofessional of Dominic not to advise his client.

I am the client, I have NEVER received any information from Dominic about him doing/not doing/extra cost, etc. I am astonished at the conduct of the owner of this organisation and the breach of so many legal regulations. I assume the reason for the willingness to complete my tax now, at extra cost is a revenge tactic against the third party. I feel that if I contracted this accountant to complete my tax submission, it would be done in a malicious way, not in my best interests. I have not received any contract from the accountant since October, to supply the further information. I have not been involved in the on again, off again, contrary contacts.
