I find it funny a chick is saying how unprofessional and rude the lawyers are from Stacey carter n Co..
Truth be told I owe so much to the Stacey carter n Co team even down to the receptionist who had to relay my messages while wrongfully incarcerated.
They didn't care about the fee first up. First up they cared about my safety as a young out gay man in jail.
as it was legal aid but I got evry little bit treated with respect, time management , representation and I got treated as a human being ..

My several charges that lasted n kept On being put on hold as evidence lack of and wasn't going plead guilty something I wasn't guilty of..
Wow went on for nearly a year n I was informed if plead guilty it's over most like a 2year behaviour bond n that was the most likely but I refused n they stuck by me ..
And said " no your right as if not guilty well your not and it will go on.my record for life if plead guilty " ..
So eventual charges all dropped after being assaulted by the police aha the same ones who harrased charged n falsey and illegal kept of charging n arresting me over the allegations of a known prostitute..
Anyway I must say th3se ladies are extremely good at what they do and if you got rude or unprofessional it must be due to how ignorant intolerable and uneducated you are woman or people...

These ladies do lot as there the most sought after lawyers being criminal defence that also do legal aid which is like amazing as there a private firm.
They don't have to give there time or effort for anything less than I big pay cheque but money wasn't the point.
My safety n the fact my lawyer knew I wasn't giving up she didn't either ...

Extremely unprofessional and rude service provided from Ms Carter.

Ms Carter doesn’t returns calls until the day before your court date which is VERY unorganised and unprofessional.
She demands payment before discussing anything to do with your case. Therefore leading me to believe that she only cares about the money and is extremely rude and disrespectful.

I am really disappointed with her attitude towards her clients.
I will NOT be recommending Carter & Co Lawyers due to these experiences.

I was on several charges! Mostly
minor but i was looking at more time and more harrasment from prosecution n the port adelaide popo..

And because of my ongoing treatment by police and the lack of police evidence ! N fact i was assaulted ..

All charges dropped witbrawn and disposed of .

I called in the morning 9am to speak to my lawyer explained situation .
And with extreme haste i had these ladies onto it ..
I was out by 3pm that day ..
And at the end of the hearing the judge said .
" dont thank me mr hart , thank your lawyer ! " .

As without kate aka stacey carter n co .
I would have been in jail more charges n fines and more police harrasment..

Anyone who states " not worth it " or " give a 1star " ..
Clearly must have treated the ladies with disrespect and lack of confidence ..

I personally can’t complain with the help I’ve received, Stacy even stood in as my lawyer one day when I hadn’t completed legal aid forms. I know who I believe if someone has something bad to say about the service, majority always wins…

Stacey is the best!! My partner and I had alameda and associates represent us for over a year and they did nothing to help our case, so we changed lawyers to Carter and Co and in just over 1 month Stacey had all charges dropped. She definitely knows what she is doing.

Absolutely appalling and unprofessional. No communication after the first meeting, I did not even get to review evidence against me once it had become available to them. Sensitive information was made public that cost me my career. And the individual representing me made it obvious to the courtroom that she was in some kind of relationship with the prosecutor, referring to them as their "friend".

Save your money, your probably better off representing yourself compared to them.

Edit: Imagine being a lawyer while not even knowing your own client's name but calling the prosecutor "friend".

Stacey Carter is unprofessional, rude and a liar. She does not return emails or phone calls unless its about money being transferred into her bank account. I hope Stacey receives the same respect as she gives.

After my initial review I was contacted by phone from the firm. I was threatened by the woman who called me and then threatened my email if I did not remove my review. The response you can see below from Carter and Co. has no substance because they contacted me and followed instructions I provided on my partners behalf regularly.
This is my reply to the email threat.

Google reviews are open to the public to review an experience they have with a business. That is what I did.
You have no legal right to open a case against me for defamation, as it is not defamation., It is my opinion, in which from my experience is completely accurate.

I spoke to Stacey on the phone after M* initiated contact with her, after which she advised she would contact me back. But she didn't. (that is the first lie she told me)

Subsequently, I emailed Stacey advising of my dissatisfaction with her services. You can see this below. (I provided a screenshot in my response)
Finally Stacey saw it within her good self to have someone from her office reply, which is attached as a PDF.
You will also find an informative email in which was supplied to Stacey which would have been very helpful for Stacey considering she did not make any contact with my partner despite her saying she had just met with him in Yatala which was the 2nd lie she told me. The only conversation she initiated with my partner was 5 minutes before his bail hearing, and he did not even know he was being represented at that time.

Again, I emailed Stacey, after she requested my partner and I pay the overpriced $2200, and again, I got no reply. I have provided a screen shot below.

So, in summary, and as I advised on the phone, I will NOT be removing my review, in fact if I receive any further threats from you or your firm, I will be raising a harassment file against your firm, and I will seek compensation and a refund from the funds you obtained during the badly represented case against my partner.

This firm has poor communication skills, never returns phone calls and takes dsys to respond to emails.Stacey does not listen to her clients, wouldnt represent my boyfriend until $5500 was placed into her trust, then 6 months later after next to no work being done on his case we fired her.
Took her a month to produce an itermised account, after telling us that our money was still in trust we recieve a bill for over 6000.
Unreliable, misleading and very unprofessional, would never recommend this firm to anyone i know and we are taking her misconduct through the appropiriate channels.
Miss Carter is rude and unprofessional she only cares about the money not the clients themselves.
She has 6 receptionists and none of them seem to know what is going on.
Whatever you do, do not make the same mistake we did this firm is a circus and will rip you off.
Dont waste your time or money.
As to your response to my fair and honest review, the time my post was added is irrelevant, im currently on night shift. Your poor handling of my partners case has nothing to do with covid but everything to do with your code of conduct and professionalism, Stacey made promises at the start she knew full well she couldnt keep . As for being abuabusive towards your staff, i never became abusive i was being ignored snd all i was asking is what you are legally supose d to supply. So you can write wat u like in your response but the word is out and people are catching on to what a pathetic and highly unprofessional business you are running.
Seems to me you are directly communicating with me, hmmmmm, your response to my review says it all lol.
