Where do I start. I had a very long drawn out court battle with my ex over the home and kids. CDG law was recommended to me by a family friend. I had no idea what to do in this situation it was all pretty scary as you never expect to go through a situation like that. The solicitor that started looking after me was Bonnie and she was amazing, answered every question I had help me understand everything and helped me through everything, she was always contactable via email or phone the communication was fantastic, after the first court date Bonnie sis extremely well and got a better result than I could have hoped for. Unfortunately before the situation was over she left to move her career forward which was disappointing after the great experience I had had, now this is where it all went south really quickly. Ian took over my case and being the Principal you would expect everything to go smoothly but it was quite the opposite, his communication was absolutely disgraceful, you send him multiple emails call multiple times and never returned anything to the day before or morning of a court date. He seemed to have no interest at all and just agreed to everything the other party wanted without questioning or fighting it at all. The situation went from going ok to terrible, basically all he did was forwarded emails between parties with zero help or advice, felt like he was praying on the weak and there was nothing I could do. Then after the family stuff had been settled I didn't think it could get any worse but the communication dropped to basically zero until I got a call from Jacob who the poor guy and been dumped with the case 3 days before the property settlement due to the extreme lack of communication from Ian, It was nowhere near enough time settlement had to be pushed back but a few weeks down the track it all finally settled and the absolute hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy was finally over thanks to Jacob. Now Jacob is the only reason I had to give 2 stars instead of 1, if it was only him I would have given 5 stars just like Bonnie his communication was amazing always on the phone always trying to get it sorted out and a really nice guy. I would highly recommend Jacob as a conveyancer but for anything please do yourself a huge favour and avoid them! It's not worth that added stress whilst going through the worst situation that you can.
