CE Family lawyers proved themselves to be money hungry, lack lustre and incompetent in my simple case. Their initial paperwork prepared by their Principal was flawed and they hungrily built a case based on this which could never result in anything for me but a time intensive $100,000 lost family court debacle.

There was zero support and they recommended barristers who were as equally ineffectual and nepotistic. Towards the end of my case David E. who I’d never dealt with called me to ask if I’d like to withdraw my proceedings and I was not informed why he was making this call. I was to soon learn that they had discovered their error and didn’t inform me and made a cryptic phone call presumably to say they were under instructions to proceed and cover themselves.

They did not disclose to me their error. They did say that if things were proven to fail I could sue them as incentive to keep going but how can a single mother without the means sue a legal firm who are so well armed to fight against one person. How incredibly self entitled to say ‘you continue to disrupt your life and we’ll pop it in with our daily running’s and threaten to make you pay costs’. I felt defeated, disillusioned and disgusted.

The judge ruled that the legal work was flawed from the outset and I received not a word of apology nor offer to refund my lost $100,000 that they greedily lined their pockets with.

An appalling demonstration of a legal practice whose sole aim is to churn people through and feather their own nests.

At all costs avoid CE Family Lawyers. There are far better, more capable, more ethical and more genuine lawyers out there. CE Family Lawyers deserve a 0/10 rating from me and I can see others have had a similar experience.

Fascinating to see 50% of their 5 star reviews have no descriptions around them. Asking people to ‘just do a review to pick up our ratings’ isn’t a good look. Perhaps remedy your actual performance and some negatives might resolve.

David Edeny ICL acts in the best interests of mothers not children has a total disregard of children’s best interests extremely bias towards fathers ignores fathers with evidence supporting mothers without a need for evidence .. I strongly advise to Stay well away from Mr Edeny as Children’s best interests are far from his agenda. CE lawyers Instagram page promotes a clear message of support for mothers only , NOT a what litigants should expect a Independent Children’s lawyer to act in fact far from it… No equality in support whatsoever in this a bias careless neglectful heartless law firm…

This place took a simple matter and turned it into over a 4 year nightmare. They had no "fight" in them for my rights. Just wanted to settle for whatever my ex partners lawyer demanded. I was the one that had to fight and fight. Then, once settlement was reached, they refused to release my money to me for almost two years, despite the fact my ex had his settlement in full and had paid all of my fees. After finally having to threaten to report them I received my settlement but not a cent of interest.
I may have been naive to think that a solicitor would always be your advocate and do what is in your best interests but I honestly would have been better off doing this all on my own. It would have been less stress and a whole lot less lawyers fees.
