Went in there today and the lady that served me clearly didn’t want to be there. She was rude, not friendly, not engaging. I asked how she was and she didn’t answer. She scanned the birthday card, asked if i wanted anything else. I replied no then I paid on my card she said you can go now. I won’t be taking my business there again.

Friendly staff. Cheap use of photocopier, fax, and printer if needed. Lots of interesting items for sale including kids toys, books, jewelry and funny novelty items that are great for presents. A great range also of stationary and craft things. Plus lollies, cards, magazines and newspapers.
Anytime I need a gift for a child or adult I go here first!
The post office is well run and well stocked too. Always service with a smile

Post office 5 stars - The ladies that work there are amazing! Helpful & know their stuff, they are quick and efficient. They are the only reason I come here....

the rest of the newsagency 0 stars - Rude owner & the staff dont seem to care. The store is so crammed that its difficult to walk through without knocking something (Even worst if you have boxes to post!).

Think twice before coming here, I spend my money elsewhere.

Dropped in today to get some documents copied and certified and had a terrible experience at the Postal section of the store. The matured aged international lady was abrupt, condescending and treated me with barely disguised distain. I'm not sure what I did to deserve this treatment but I was shocked at how I was treated. I nearly walked out at that stage but I really needed the documents certified so I used the copier, brought some postal envelopes and walked down to the pharmacy to pay $4 per copy for the 11 documents I needed to enrol in my course next year. Will look for a alternative postal agent in future.

We have been customers of the Charnwood Newsagency since it opened, and always find the owners Steve and Lynne, and all their staff very friendly, helpful, patient and understanding. Although now, we only buy two papers a week, we have an arrangement with them for all our magazines we buy, to be put aside for us and we collect them on our next visit to the shop.

They have an excellent range of newspapers, magazines, cards, wrapping paper, gift lines, stationery, Darrell Lea confectionery, drinks, photocopying, fax service and lottery tickets, scratchies, and an ATM outside the shop.

We also feel that the Post Office agency is a real bonus. We buy stamps, philatelic items and post and receive parcels there. The staff in this part of the shop are always bright, cheerful and so helpful - although it can be busy at times.

I never leave google reviews but I visited the Charnwood newsagency on Saturday and was assisted by a lovely young lady with a French name (Jacques?) and her service was so exemplary I felt the need to write this review! She helped me pick out exactly what I needed to post an item and even helped when I made a mistake on the bag with the address. She also checked up on me to see if I needed any help after browsing the store for a while. Her friendly customer service really made my day. Her employers are very lucky to have her.
