Overall my experience with Chomely family law has been as pleasant as it can be when dealing with the legal system and sensitive matters. Pick a different firm. We used Chomley Family Law for our very straightforward and predominately amicable separation. The only requirement was that it be completed in a timely manner. It wasn’t. They seemed to need a prod at every junction and, as I’m not a natural prodder, the timeline just kept getting longer and longer. Even more alarming were the mistakes they made on legal documents. On three separate occasions they wrote the wrong monetary amounts on papers we had to sign meaning we had to have them redrawn. I finally lost my temper and wrote a stern email after they glibly told me they wouldn’t charge me for the extra work to fix their last mistake - big of them! Add to this a lack of communication and a company tendency to make excuses and pass the buck. So, with such a lot of other law firms to choose from, I’d pick someone else.
