I met my solicitor Julia Lu through a mutual friend. She helped me with a total of three transactions, one as a buyer and two as a seller. The first two showed her to be a meticulous, fair, competent and reasonably priced solicitor. The settlements were smooth and flawless. What impressed me the most was my third settlement, which showed her full strength as the best of all best solicitors. The buyer’s solicitor was from a top powerful law firm with 150+ partners/solicitors/consultants and six locations in Sydney. The buyer’s solicitor was a successful partner and practiced many years in property law, and he was extremely dedicated to his clients. He used highly demanding tactics for his client in this transaction, sending his demands every day. Even in the last minute before the closing he sent an additional demand. In sharp comparison, Julia’s shop was small, having only one partner, and a few paralegals. She adhered to her strategies, and my interests/instructions during the entire process and wasn’t intimidated a bit. She worked like soft water flowing around a hard rock. She fought their demands with her grace, gentleness, fairness and sincerity. She won every battle. In the end, I was surprised to see she achieved a clean settlement without any attachments or strings. It was a clear victory of the little guy over the big-name law firm. I feel that I am forever in debt to her. She won my heart, my respect and my admiration. I am so fortunate to meet her and so impressed by her work. If you have any property transaction needs, she is the best answer for you. You will be as happy as me.

I purchased my first property, an off-the-plan apartment in 2016, my property agent referred Julia. I've barely seen her, and the only communication was she quickly went through the contract via the phone and said it was just a standard contract so there was nothing much to attention.

In 2018, the apt settled and I noticed that the internal area was much smaller than the floor plan i was given when purchased. When i came to her, i couldn't even reach her via phone or email. She reluctantly wrote a letter to the vendor and charged me another $330.

I had to find another solicitor to follow up my cases because the vendor refused to recind the contract. Subsequently we went to supreme court NSW and won the case. However, this could have been avoided if Julia reviewed the contract more carefully and requested some amendments in the contract to protect me as the buyer.

Very DISAPOINTED!!! I wish these solicitors like her will disappear in Australia and all customers could be treated by a legal person with professional knowledge, responsible attitude and great communication skills.

Terrible service. They lie about costs (tell you that everything will cost 1100 AUD but then you have to pay around 500 for registrations, 330 for "trust account administration" even though I specifically asked about other costs (like PEXA registration etc), go on long holidays, forget about clients. As a result I overpaid around 5000AUD for pretty straight forward purchase. They also barely speak English and unable to provide you the correct information from the first attempt. Government forms are suprise for them. "Oh, I haven't seen this form" is definitely not something you would expect from the "legal" professional. I could have done their job much better myself but unfortunately it's not possible to do your own conveyancing in NSW anymore.
