As an experienced property flipper, I’ve used conveyancers many times. I can honestly say that none of them have come close to the fantastic service I’ve recently received from Rick at Clarke & Gee. So much so that I’ve referred a friend, whose feedback was very positive, snappy I think she said to describe the support she received, the good snappy as in quick and efficient! I can add thorough to that list. Happy customer, I’ll be back.

Absolutely APPALLING law firm.

15 months + to process a very simple estate. Constant apologies about being understaffed. Broken promises. 6-8 months is acceptable and understandable, triple that... is not.

Delays in payments from their trust to our accounts. No replies to emails about payments. Complete lack of accountability.

11 months after the death and 9 months after engaging, the life insurance agency had still not received the claim; after hassling from me (email chains can confirm this).

Tuesday 16 January the final funds were deposited into their trust account - and as of 6th March, these funds have apparently "Just been transferred" (I found this out via a phone call, because they hadnt responded to emails in 6 days - (note there was a 2.5 week delay due on our end within that)). I have email chains to back up all of this also. It actually took them almost a month to send the distribution forms!

With such a personal matter like the death of a relative you'd think some form of considered communication would be in place, and with a will thats so simple (all funds/assets to his wife); this was not a complicated process so huge delays in communications shouldnt occur. I'm aware that delays from third parties happen, but without constant pushing I'm not sure this would ever have been processed.

We have used the firm to prepare our wills and when selling a property and were very happy with the service both times. I'm glad we didn't worry about the reviews on here. For every one client complaint there are probably one hundred satisfied clients that don't think to leave a review.

Engaged the services of Clarke and Gee to do an Interlocutory Application, just before Court told Judge would never accept it, even though Judge told me to get a Solicitor to do it for me. Told to do something I did not want to do which had disastrous effects on my future. New Action Solicitor had 14 days to file an amended SOC and took 7 weeks, then allowed the other side an extension of time against my instructions, again this had a further disastrous effect on my matter. Then failed to advise me of a court hearing, apparently turned up unprepared. I was then not happy so he quit? All without giving the appropriate amount of notice. Clarke and Gee Cost me and ruined my life. Unprofessional.

FRED LESTER the Lawyer that I engaged has come before the Legal Profession Board of Tasmania and Court. His license to practice law revoked! I LOST A VERY LARGE AMOUNT BECAUSE OF CLARKE AND GEE AND FRED LESTER! And they even refused to pay any monies already paid for 'DISGUSTING SERVICES' AVOID this firm like the plague!

Mark Doyal is the lawyer you recommend to you opponent. He didn't even show up at my court hearings, sent a junior who was way out of his depth and had no idea what he was doing or what was in my folder (not his fault at all) shouldn't have been there. Very unprofessional and terrible communication.

To be honest this firm doesn't deserve 1 star!! My experience was appalling!! Met with Mark once for 20 minutes,i wanted to talk to him about my case 4 days before court but no i was told by Brodie that i will talk to Mark on the morning of my case!! I made it very clear i still needed to talk to mark but no i had to wait for court day.. came court day First Mark was 20 mins late then i rang the office Brodie told me Mark was on his way he was a few mins late!! 1 hour and a half Mark walked straight passed me into the court room!! As you can imagine the judge was not impressed at all with the wait time!! No apologies or anything!! I do NOT recommend Mark to help you in a legal matter please go to someone else as i did not find him professional at all
