My daughter was the victim of a serious crime so I dealt with the witness service there. Firstly, I DO NOT recommend you work with them! Ask to deal with the lawyer directly! The witness officer I had (Caroline) was simply just plain cold. I have no idea why or how she was put in a role that deals with the public, and she is apparently the manager of the place! i had many issues with her and it quickly became obvious that she just didn’t give a damn about the people affected by the crimes. I was lucky enough to deal with the lawyer when at court and they showed far more compassion than I ever received from the witness service! People who are supposedly trained in that sort of thing. There were also many inconsistencies with what I had been told by the witness service and the lawyer. My advice - ask to deal with the lawyer directly!
