The most honest workshop we visited on our trip to Australia. Especially as a backpacker, it's not easy to find an honest garage for urgent problems. Our car was treated directly without an appointment and repaired so that we could continue our journey after half an hour. An excellent service, thank you very much!

Exceptional customer service backed up by quality work. I cannot thank David and the team enough for all they did for me when my car broke down unexpectedly in Mackay last week. 750km from home with 2 kids and my Mum, the family values of the business really shone through when they agreed to inspect/diagnose and then source and fit the replacement part so we could get home again. The detailed explanation and communication along the way, as well as the "after sales" service to make sure the car was still doing OK throughout the trip home was nothing short of brilliant! Highly recommend. If I lived in Mackay, this would be my mechanic shop! Maybe I might even do that, even if it is 8 hours drive away! Thanks again David and the team.

So happy with the service these guys gave me. Everyone else was too busy, Nissan couldn't look at my Navara for 2 weeks. David Galea Mechanical told me to bring the vehicle over immediately they would have a quick look at it. It turned out the problem with was with my transmission selector and was common to this model, they even had a replacement part and fitted it on the door. So happy, we were able to continue with our travels. Thanks guys.

We organised our travel around getting a service on our motorhome in Mackay. David Galea Mechanical was the only place that could accommodate our vehicle size. They did a full safety check along with a thorough service. Very happy with the peace of mind and from the safety check and the service, also the cost was, I think, very reasonable.

David Galea Mechanical always go the extra mile to listen, diagnose issues with my car, explain the issues fully along with solutions and keep my car running. They diagnosed and promptly fixed a major issue making my car undriveable. They offered me a lift home and back the next day to collect my car. Awesome prompt service at reasonable prices. We were desperate when ringing David on Friday afternoon as our Ute broken down which needed on Monday. With no hesitation; he soon came around had a quick check then back to his workshop changed busted radiator; we got our Ute back on Saturday morning with no any extra charges! we are very grateful for his honesty, good skill and kindness!
