David Luscombe and his 'young' associate staff are not the persons or firm for you, if you are experiencing serious anxiety and well being issues, and have your back to the wall in your personal circumstances.
Not listeners. Not even capable of recording an accurate summary of your circumstances and the guidance sought at their reception point when you ring in in distress. Or is at problem at the 'solicitors end' when they overlay their costs template .... and they don't understand, or see you as a good fit?
It's not a good sign for one to be struggling to be heard and understood, when you receive a call back from young Megan, and then when you ring back anticipating a better response from the elderly boss 'David Luscombe' he's in his own cone of silence and denial.
Mention to him that you're in a vulnerable state, with mental health issues, regularly asked by your treating GP if you're having suicidal thoughts and that you're first and foremost wanting your circumstances heard and understood, by someone you're approaching for some legal support and representation ... and David will run a mile, shut down himself - and shut you down.
Disingenuous, care factor 'zero', probably the worst yet.
Receptionist Debbie raises expectations that Megan knows her stuff and is good, when she books in a call back for 3 working days time. She says David's been around for a long-time and is very good. Lol, I was hoping so, but Debbies criteria and expectations of her colleague and employer is obviously alot different than what I desperately needed.
They appear to be 'Cherry pickers' looking for the low hanging fruit - so if you present at the front-end of a family law matter, where they can see and smell the opportunity for them to reap the cream and milk (get on board the gravy train) I'm sure they'll treat you differently ... with welcoming opening arms!
Beware.
At least they showed the cut of their jib from the outset, and that they weren't interested in even getting to know what was going on for me, or had the slightest inclination to go out of their way to see how they could support or help.
One of the harder things in life it seems - to find a good lawyer.
Don't waste your time trying here. Nothing to see, move on. Nothing to inspire confidence, move on. Everything to suggest a process driven cash register is just ka'chinging away here, move on.
Very very ordinary experience, and typically unaccountable privileged people.
