Debbie did the job for me, so 2 stars for that. But she was not supportive/flexible at all through the process and made it very stressful for me on top of 100 others things that go thru your mind buying your 1st property. Emails were forwarded without any explanation and when asked for a clarification, the replies were as if it's my mistake asking a question. 1st phone call was great and things went downhill once she was onboard. As a 1st time home buyer, I was clue less about the process and ended up asking friends to guide me. Classic of all was when her staff sent me a report, and upon clarifying a doubt, was directed to go ask council by myself - and I did. Later Debbie calling me and telling me not to do that without consulting her. Hillarious.
Writing this review almost after 2 years - recalled what I went thru last time, so looking for someone who understands the feelings and the stress levels of the buyer.

Extraordinarily rude and unprofessional. I was left out of email chains that were sent only to my partner. Debbie was meant to be our representative in the house purchasing process and we ended up having to apologise to the sellers estate agent after she bad mouthed them in an email they were cc'd into!

Debbie's website says to "never choose your settlement agent based purely on price", & promises "first class service" all the way. From our experience, the first class service ends right after the initial phone call when she's soliciting for business. My wife chose Debbie because she reached out with a phone call instead of email, but subsequent communication makes you feel like she's doing you a favour instead of the job that you're paying her literally thousands for. Good luck trying to make time for a face to face consult, because you can just go to her office & drop things off in her letterbox. The last straw was when I witnessed Debbie yelling at my mother over the phone, (& I quote): "your husband should have had the b*lls to call himself...", going off at her for asking to verify her license registration number right before making payment of one of "the largest monetary transaction you will handle in your life" (to quote again directly from her website). Shocking lack of professionalism.

Could not fault the service we received from Debbie Crawford. We used this conveyancer to buy our first home in 2015 and then again in 2020. They were super patient with us and did everything they could for us when we had no idea what we were doing the first time around. Always very efficient and on top of everything so that you know it will run smoothly. They removed a lot of the stress out of purchasing our homes and I would recommend them to anyone.

Rude, unavailable and seemed to take pleasure in making this already convoluted process more difficult. Took the shine off the excitement of buying our home. Technically competent that’s the best I can offer
