I recently sold my home to a buyer that Ebony represented. She was terrible. Whilst she understands the law, she seems to have a limited understanding of the current landscape of real estate, and if not for the sales agent speaking directly with the buyer, would have lost her client the property. Although I was the vendor in this scenario, I’m a buyers agent by profession, and would not personally recommend my clients use her. As an example, we required the buyers deposit to act as a deposit on our new home purchase (a scenario most Australians are in right now). She pushed her clients to decline the early deposit release request and told us to get a deposit bond (with prices and interest rates where they’re at who has a spare few thousand laying around to pay for a deposit bond when it’s not necessarily required?). I later found out her company happens to also have a partnership with Deposit Assure, a deposit bond company. I didn’t ask but can only assume it was coincidence.
