I took a silver plated tea pot, sugar bowl and milk jug to Edlins to see what they would give me for it. I inherited it from my great aunt who brought it out from Scotland in 1863 - very nice set, with pretty pattern on the silver. At Edlins they told me it is not worth much, but they did not know what Brittania Metal is. the set is EPBM. I took it to a number of antique dealers in Canberra, Sydney and Wagga. They all told me the same as Edlins. The teapot is damaged and is worth nothing. I would be lucky to get $100 for the other two items together. So I won't sell - I will keep it for my children when I pass on.

I got this beautiful garnet ring in this shop with a really good price. They also have a lot of classic / antique jewellery and they all on the good price as well. I definitely recommend if you want to get some antique stuff to wear with out spend huge amounts of money.
The lady I was talking to is super nice and patient with me.

I would love to give this shop a highest ratings. I have been there for 2 times for buying some bullion and they have always offered best price. I have also met the owner of the shop and he is a true gentlemen I must say he not only offered a good discount on my purchase but also didn’t charge any transaction charge on the Credit Card Purchase. Thank you guys. I hope I will receive same kind of service and price in the future as I will visit your shop regularly. Cheers.

Nothing wrong with the shop or the attendants but echoing comments from some others around a very low price offered for gold.

I was offered about half of the current spot price. I don't expect to get spot price when selling gold - but I understand that 70-80% is pretty standard from a gold buyer. 50% is completely unacceptable.

That being said, the goods sold here seem to be very fair for the quality. But of course, in order to be able to sell cheap you have to buy cheap. So perhaps a great place to buy stuff, but a bad place to sell stuff.

Loved all the coins available as I am a collector, prices were fairly accurate in my opinion. Purchased some uncirculated coloured 2 dollar coins and he had everything I was looking for, went away happy

Went there not knowing what to expect and was pleasently surprised by how much the staff knew about coins gold and silver collectables. They also hold quarterly auctions where you can auction off your valuables.

went to sell some scrap 22k gold, the price I was offered was terrible, I think the guy thought I was an idiot and didn't know the value, went to the jeweller around the corner on Lonsdale street where I got what I knew was a fair price that was substantially higher. Stay away from this place, will def try and rip u off. I've sold heaps of scrap gold before when I lived in Sydney so lucky I knew the rough value and that I could easily get a better offer...I definitely won't be taking any future business to this place, ill be going to the diamond store on Lonsdale street where they offer you a fair price for your gold.
