This is a lovely little theater in Sydney. Interesting area of Sydney, too. I'm told more like a college area, and with some very good restaurants.

Anyway, a friend and I traveled to Sydney specifically to see Kim Wilde perform. The theater itself was clean and well taken care of. Acoustics were very good, and my hearing wasn't blown at the end of the night.

Unfortunately, this was 90% standing room only. The few seats they had were either a single row on the second floor, or a couple of rows far in the back. Standing for a concert these days is not the easiest thing to do, and the theater is big enough that I wish they would have seats.

I also feel sorry for the folks cleaning the place at the end of the night. I've never seen a floor area that covered in cans and plastic cups.

Such a beautiful historic venue and believe it or not my first visit. I highly rate the wheelchair accessibility. Great idea to have a lockable toilet and best of all, close by.

Negative points; not many but room for improvement in that there should be a blanket ban on audience standing on the steps (at the back and adjacent to the dedicated wheelchair accessible area) and encroaching where the bollards were placed (pictured). A few of us had to repeatedly request Security move them on as they blocked our view.

We visited Sydney and saw The Rubens on Friday night. I was unsure at first about the venue, due to not being a local. The sound, lighting and atmosphere was amazing. We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend the venue.

Your venue of yesteryear still going strong . Has the ammenities. Good access to public transport. A Visit for heritage. Go and see something exciting and be part of Sydney’s heritage. The usual great hospitality of the Newtown folks. ❤️

Wonderful theatre! We recently completed a stage wrap for a program here, and the results were fantastic. The venue's layout and ambiance enhanced our design, making the setup look even more stunning. The staff was incredibly supportive, and the whole process went smoothly. Looking forward to more projects in this beautiful space.

Incredible venue for live bands. Extremely spacious and seating is very comfortable with a great view.

There's plenty of entry and exit points too so when it comes time to enter or leave the place, you're not waiting a lifetime, it's super quick.

There's also lots of great restaurants and eateries nearby and plenty of street parking. The theatre offers its own parking too but if it's sold out, you should be able to snag a park down a side street with ease.

Overall, fantastic venue and looks absolutely amazing inside, including all facilities.

I've been to The Enmore for so many shows over the past 30 years that it's become a part of my consciousness. From Jeff Beck to Peter Hook, even Nick Giannopoulos has hopped up there to entertain us. Sound system kicks butt, and the theatre resonates beautifully for most types of musical acts I've seen there. Plus they get great talent going through, always worth a look!
