This is a good place for a stop. While the rooms are old and a bit noisy, they are very clean and looked after.
There is only 1 shower for all the rooms without ensuites. This was clean also.
The big tick was the food. Great food and served super fast. Staff were very good. Bar staff not so great, but they are under the pump most times, so you expect a but of harshness. They do have their locals and friends so they get service first.
Overall a very good place for an overnight stop

We had lunch at the Exchange Hotel Kilcoy and the service was excellent. You can see the young lady at the bar loves her job and am proud of the establishment she works at. I can't remember her name but it's definitely starts with Lee, she was friendly and am a great mixologist. The food was good and freshly made, the pie and pea was full of chunky beef and the gravy was tasty. The atmosphere was vibrant and and quite busy for a Thursday lunch hour. I recommend dropping into the Exchange if you are in the area.

Honestly hate leaving a bad review, but for a pub right in Kilcoy the steak was underwhelming, 2 out of 4 meals where steak, one was the 300gsm Rump ....it was that bad a cut only half of it was edible, for a $50 steak was pretty disappointing.... the rest of the meal was pretty good... the other meal was a steak sandwich and that peice of steak was worse than the Rump though the staff replaced that meal with calamari that was awesome

Stopped by the Exchange Hotel in Kilcoy for another round of grilled barramundi. Served with chips and salad, it was a great choice - tasty, moist fish that didn’t disappoint. Simple, satisfying, and a solid dish worth trying again!

There was a party of 8 of us having dinner last night with 2 small children. First time I’ve been into this hotel. The food was amazing and incredible large portions. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere the same. So good having a lovely play area there for families in the beer garden. A young lady called Jade went above and beyond to obtain sparklers and a lighter for us for my daughter‘s birthday. Big thank you to you all, Sandra.

I didn’t stay but we were there for lunch with a car club. Service was amazing and the food was fantastic. Great pub.
The parking was a little difficult but we managed to park down the road.
