Doesn't look like much from the outside, the coffee sign got me in, but once inside its a newsagent with a difference. A real oasis in a sea of heat, a paradise for women young & older!
It's a welcoming coffee shop with lovely coffee, yummy treats, then there's the gift shop and kids clothing, wander down the back past the spotlessly clean toilets, and what about the awesome, !!relaxing, shady setting out the back?!?
Too bad it was too hot, but it was so inviting & welcoming. I have to go back

We visited Gilgandra for 3 days. Second day looked for somewhere selling cappuccinos. Found the newsagent selling coffee. Okay, a newsagent selling capps? We gave it a go. One capp and one latte please. What a pleasant surprise. Great coffee. We went back for another later in the day. People running the newsagent/cafe were very nice people. Good for a chat with a smile as well as great coffee what more can a person ask for. Recommend this place.

As a local, I can’t recommend Gil News & Gifts enough. Their cosy courtyard is the perfect spot to relax with a cup of great coffee and a bite to eat. The atmosphere is inviting and vibrant—just what you need to unwind after a busy day. The staff are genuinely warm, welcoming and absolutely beautiful. I also love how their carefully curated range of clothing and other stock truly has something for everyone. It’s a real gem in our community—five stars without hesitation!

A delightful little breath of fresh air. Called in on our way south. Fresh sandwiches were delicious, and they were fantastic at Re doing my milk shake which was a bit strong for me. Very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were beautifully clean and well equipped with baby change table, and the back of the news agency had shelves of lovely toys and gift ideas. Will come again.

Stopped in this little town and had the BEST coffee I can ever remember from a coffee shop. Seriously. I mean they usually just aren't great.. you buy and drink them as a habit lol but this one WAS.. Also the shop was so cool with clothes and stationery..

Morning coffee and it was good, sometimes it's difficult to get good coffee on the road, then to our surprise we could enjoy it with the birds in the sun in a lovely area at the rear of the shop, well done.
