I love visiting this library as a 54 year old person. The staff are always so accomodating. I see them react to others needs in such an empathetic and compassionate way. Patience is definitely a virtue. Fiona, today helped me achieve something monumental for me, but clearly a request that she took in her stride. Friendly, outgoing and charming honestly. Thankyou Glenelg Library staff. You never disappoint but Fiona is my employee of the month.

It's not a huge library, but is well organised and has a good variety of books. Lots of convenient services, and community activities. Staff have always been helpful in my experience.

EXTREMELY NOISY, some parents and children think they are at the playground and don’t care about making a little less noise.
If what you want is to read and study in peace, this is not the library, this is just one more PLAYGROUND in Glenelg and a place for people just to come to charge their mobile phones

Small and compact and a haven for reading lovers to come and chill out with a good book most days a week. Helpful staff and well displayed books easy to select from different sections. Is there another library any closer to a great beach in the world? My only gripe is the unisex toilet which clearly is used by those who stand and cannot aim.

The staff is often louder than some of the disrespectful characters that daily visit the library. These people chat on the phone, watch videos (no headphones), let bodily functions go uncontrolled...the staff seams to not care.

This is not a library, rather a lounge, or maybe a market given the noise and the plethora of inconsiderate people.

Good little library, has nice selection of books and other media, good computer facilities, desks for you to bring your own laptop and friendly staff. They have 1GB daily of wi-fi for you to use for free. The only downside is it's not very quiet. There is a large kids section so children are usually running about and making noise. Also people are openly talking on their phones. I thought libraries were quiet places? Maybe their place in society has changed. I wouldn't recommend this place if you come here to study or read in peace.

Yes, it is a small library, but the layout has been revamped, making it work even better than before. Easily accessible on foot, by bus or tram , it is a vital point of access to the state-wide system for the many people who would find the Brighton branch difficult to get to. Check the website for the range of other services it provides. Friendly and always-helpful staff on hand to assist the newcomer and answer the questions of other users.

Relatively small, compact library but very comfortable space. Good sample of books in many genres. DVDs also available. Air conditioned for those hot summer days too!
