An enjoyable stay with spacious rooms. The whole area had a resort feel to it but nice and quiet. Tavern next door was so convenient.

Only dislikes were that the pool was not well maintained. Some furniture in the room was dated and literally falling apart.

After having a bad experience at Harrington Lodge in 24 my sister persuaded me to give it another try.
I do have to eat my words from the previous year as this year was a whole different experience.
The unit was lovely and clean and a new lounge was added. Much more homely.

On first arriving the Harrington seems very grand however the kitchenette is very small. very few items of crockery, that were not clean at all, no toaster and no microwave and the kettle has heavy like scale that has likely never been cleaned. Bathroom has a big limescale issue coming from leaking shower. Bed was large and comfortable with clean bedding. There were ants in the kitchenette and a few on the bed. Service from receptionist was friendly and helpful when I arrived.

Stayed 2 nights on 28th & 29th April. Rooms need refurbishing. Stains on carpets and furnishings. On our 2nd night after enjoying a good meal at the tavern we returned to our room 13 to find it over run with ants. They were runing along the walls and along
the bedhead.The barman from the tavern came and sprayed everywhere including the bedhead and then we had to put up with the spray smell. Nobody from management has contacted us to convey apologies for this experience. Disappointed as this place is in a lovely location.

So we stayed at the River Lodge this week, and it is our second visit to this fantastic place. This time we were offered a three night package which was at a very good price so we jumped at it again.. because we enjoyed the first time very much. Luckily we got an upstairs room with a balcony that looked over that beautiful river. The rooms are super super spacious, so clean and have absolutely everything in it that you would need.. It’s just like staying in a five star hotel.. Apparently, the Lodge and the hotel next door were recently taken over, and the manager told me they are slowly but surely improving things and Redecorating a little bit. We noticed that the wooden outside furniture had been sanded back and repainted so they were very nice. I believe the rooms are to be painted but they look fine to me. Perhaps it’s already been done.. |The position of the lodge is really good ,in that it is on the grand Riverwalk ,and one street along is the shopping centre which is small but comprehensive! And a short drive too many other beaches and down to the local beach. . ||The lodge .. has a fantastic pool.. and the grounds are phenomenal. Just beautifully maintained. The staff and the management are extremely friendly and I look forward to visiting again…

Family get together for my birthday..It's a beautiful spot great staff and will stay again. The tavern next door is a bonus , great weekend and perfect location 👌. Reception always helpful and friendly.

We had a lovely stay on Christmas night. I was with my husband and 3 year old. The room was spacious, clean and modern. It was an easy check in and out. We would definitely stay here again longer.
