Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without Amelia. She's been working on my personal and business accounts for years - and is so proactive with her service. When it comes to accounts, I don't know what I don't know, so I appreciate that Amelia always takes the time to explain things and offer solutions I would never think to ask. To be fair - if there was a sixth star for service, I'd offer it too.

Hoffman Kelly are great accountants. We switched to them after hearing good reviews from another Building Company. The accountants that we had before Hoffman Kelly never explained anything to us and had left us in a bit of a pickle. From the very first phone call/meeting Hoffman Kelly (Michael & Michael) were approachable and helpful. They helped us transition right before the end of the financial year (bad timing to change accountants) but the whole process was easy from our end. We also engaged Hoffman Kelly for BUSINESS STRATEGIC PLANNING as we were not doing great financially in our business and didn't have the direction or knowledge on how to improve business efficiencies and plan for the future. The strategic planning meetings took place over a number of meetings with Michael & Michael where they firstly listened to our dreams for both the business and personally before going through the rest of the strategic planning process. The meetings were very structured and informative, Michael answered all our questions that we had along the way. We went over every facet of our business, understanding the numbers (something Michael Kerwin is amazing at explaining), identifying issues, improvements and a putting a plan in place for the future so we can get to where we want to be. I would highly recommend the strategic planning to any business owner even if the business is doing well financially. We now have a clear plan in place and know where we are currently at and how to get to the next level.

We have used Hoffman Kelly for approx 15+ years. They were recommended to us by a business contact after our previous accountant was almost negligent when working with the ATO on our behalf. Emotionally this was not what we needed when already stressed due to the situation we found ourselves in. Tom Aitkenhead in particular, was wonderful, empathetic and he took charge from our first meeting, sorted out our ATO issues immediately on our behalf, since, he has given direction when required and from that day to the present, we have always felt in good hands. Tom's dedication and genuine love for what he does has taken him from an accountant to a partner over those years. I would not hesitate in recommending Hoffman Kelly to those wanting to work with professional accountants.
