After dealing with H&R block for the last 15yrs interstate.
We Rang to enquire about my wife submitting a NIL return - with H&R Block at Bundaberg who informed “we are not taking new clients”.
Asked if there were other accountants in Bundaberg that we could use and was informed “I honestly couldn’t recommend any”

sadly, I could not recommend H&R Bundaberg to anyone

Very lazy service. No response to emails and even in the meeting there was no prompting or helpful suggestions on what to claim and how to improve the return. No transparency on how much their fees are and just told to pay $900 but my partners was cheaper even though we have the same assets. Then I had to ask for a copy of the return details which I was told they don't give out unless you ask . Not impressed at all for the price and lack or communication and transparency.

H&R Bundaberg and Maree have absolutely scalped me on my tax return. Overcharged massively, $750 for a simple tax return with no deductions, apparently because I had sale of 4 shares it was a ‘complex job’. Never quoted at the start of the job. I am a student who was forced to employ a tax agent because of an issue with the ATO’s website. Maree knew my situation and took the opportunity to take me for all I was worth, completely wiping out my entire tax return with her charges. When complaining on the phone, I was told “she knows where I am coming from but has a business to run”. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR YOUR TAX RETURN. Should have read the recent reviews which say similar things about the price. Will be recommending everyone I know to avoid her at all costs.

Ive been seeing Maree at H n R block for the last 3 Years, as my previous accountant was inept and ended up costing me a hell of a lot more money than it should have. Maree helped to pay off the debts I should have had and was always a phone call away if I needed her. She explains everything in a way I understand and I couldn't not recommend her any more highly. Ray is also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend using H n R block Bundaberg for all your tax needs. I would rate 10/10 stars if i could.
