In the past financial planning left me cross eyed and headachy as I'd have no idea what was being explained or recommended to me. In Your Interest Financial Planning took the time to understand me, my circumstances and my financials before discussing options or policies. I recently started a new job which required reviewing my superannuation needs and preferences. Initially I was reluctant to consider any new / different options and just ‘stick to what I had’ because I didn’t understand how all of the different super funds worked and it all felt a little hard to try and work it out. After speaking with Christoph Schnelle from ‘In Your Interest Financial Planning’, and through many back and forth emails, I had the confidence to be open to exploring the possibilities and to investigate further. At one stage I felt I wanted to give up because I felt a bit overwhelmed by the different options, however Christoph was patient throughout the process and each time explained what my options were and how they related to my situation. I feel I received much more than general information from an advisor. I received information that related specifically to me and my situation and that would support me. In the process, it felt amazing to be supported by someone who not only knew what they were talking about, but were able to explain this in lay person’s language, and especially who kept the process as simple as possible. Having never previously understood the insurance components of a super fund before – which resulted in avoiding any detailed review in this area due to this lack of understanding - I now have the confidence that I have insurance cover that is sufficient and appropriate to my needs.
