The jp that was on today was an absolute disgrace. The attitude given from this man was so discriminatory and rude i am in disbelief.

He intentionally tried to provoke me as well as other people getting their bail papers.

He assumed i wouldn't have anything left to do for the day and I quote "im sure you don't have anything to bring to the community anyway"

He was so rude, I feel like he was trying to really provoke us. He was extremely rude to other people, making people say their addresses loudly.

He made everyone in that room feel like we're lesser classed citizens.

I tried to get information on what form 'they" required and was just told that they don't offer legal advice. I wasn't asking for legal advice just which form they wanted from me. This is the most incompetent service I have experienced anywhere. the lady was more interested playing on her phone than offering any assistance. And to think that our tax $'s are paying her wages is simply disgusting. whoever is in charge of this place need to start doing their job & get training or replace the useless staff.

Have had multiple sorts of interactions with this courthouse. My husband and I eloped here a couple years ago, and for the most part they were kind enough to deal with. However I will say, trying to make an appointment to get the paperwork ready was an immense pain. I emailed (as you can't call them even if you wanted) and was told "come in anytime between x and x any day", only to come in twice, pay for street parking, first time told "she'll be back later", then come back to be told "why didn't you make an appointment?! She's busy and only does visits by appointment" 🙄

The last interaction I had was extremely disgusting as well with the courthouse. Was going to court not as an accused/accuser of anything, so there should be no attitude or biased towards me I would think. Went to check in and was asked "are you going to court today?" and I said no tentatively as I was only basically a "witness" of sorts so I didn't think I had to do anything there. Found out I did, went back to her and was told snottily "yea, that's why I asked you if you were going to court". Had some nice interactions with a few of the people around the courthouse giving out information/advice. Then went into court only to get completely talked down to by the judge, not being asked to explain the situation any, but asking me once for my opinion on "what she should do", only to respond to me all but saying there was no help for me and acted like I was a mental. Absolutely disgusting for the situation I was in and I feel absolutely horrible for anyone in a worst situation than me that's treated that way in that courthouse.

I used to work here, and I can easily tell you all they are the most selfish, nasty and spiteful I’ve seen. Everyone is super unprofessional, and as an insider if you “upset them” they will punish you regardless, push your dates back or even just rejecting you because you asked why you were here at 9 and not being seen until after 12, and then having the judge go to lunch as soon as you walk in. Whole place seems to be a big set up filled with rich, corrupt staff that are all probably involved in stuff they shouldn’t be themselves. 🚩

Don't go there waited a hour and a half to be told that they needed a mental break and then smelled our passports because she liked it so unprofessional don't waste your time. We visited the JP.

Gotta love losing a dispute because the “Judge” doesnt even know the laws. I explain to him the laws my Disputers are breaking and because I cant provide proof of said law, it gets ignored. Why am I having to provide proof of a law to a “Judge” in a QCAT hearing?
Then he somehow goes above and beyond for my Disputers and gives them an extra $600 to add to my total fine I have to pay. They werent even asking for it, he just gave it to them anyways.
