KDD were tasked with representing joint sellers for settlement of a property that was required to be sold in accordance to family court orders. KDD refused to act in accordance to the court orders, instead referred back to joint sellers who were in conflict and unable to make an agreement. Financial losses were then incurred from penalty rates from delayed settlement with one party being forced to accept higher reimbursement costs than stated in the court orders. They also failed to disclose relevant information in a timely manner, with key information only conveyed 3hrs before settlement.
