Awful service.

From start to finish there was no care or real assistance, it was purely transational and unnecessarily expensive.

Attempting to get in touch with the solicitor throughout my settlement process was extremely difficult.

Despite settlement going through without any real concerns, not even a standard Form 8 was completed by their office to notify the body corporate of a change in title.

Should have known better after an initial invoice of $800 was requested to be paid prior to any real work being conducted.

I would not recommend them at all.

Made an appointment with Kelly Lawyers on 10 December 2022 to seek advice on a contract matter my wife and I had at hand. To that end we provided the firm with a synopsis of what had transpired that had raised the legal issue. However, on the date designated we were to meet their appointed solicitor, 14 December 2022, and at the eleventh hour, I received a call from the Office advising me that the appointment had to be cancelled as the solicitor was ill. The first consultation meeting was scheduled for 2pm on the appointed day but the call made to me was at approximately 11am. I was also informed that the Office was closing for the Xmas break and it was suggested to me perhaps I should approach the solicitor’s firm across the road from them who may be happy to take our case. When I asked when their Office was going to reopen next year, I was told it was going to be the 9 January 2023. I said I was happy to wait till then and would like to make another appointment. However, I was told the firm still could not take my case as they were very busy. Needless to say I was speechless. It was quite obvious they did not wish to undertake my case. The manner in which this firm dealt with my legal concerns by not affording me a consultation at the very least was tardy and deplorable. Perhaps it fell into the “not enough fees to bother about” or perhaps the “too hard basket”! Why did this firm not advise me at the outset they were not interested? This was a waste of time due to lack of professionalism.
