I was highly recommended Kennedy Cross by my brother-in-law who has used their services for many years, as I had a simple Tax Return to lodge; I engaged the services of Kennedy Cross in good faith.

Whilst the service was professional, I was surprised to receive a significantly higher than expected charge with $550 for the appointment alone (not including the tax return completion and lodgement).

When I questioned this, highlighting the expected price of $120 per hour; I was advised I was charged rates for a Senior Accountant. At no point was it communicated to me that a straightforward tax return would require a Senior Accountant to oversee. I would expect that this be disclosed upfront so I could make an informed decision to proceed and when I raised this concern it was not addressed with any response as to why I was not informed upfront.

Based on my experience, I would be very hesitant to recommend and to be cautious of pricing before proceeding.
