The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and tried to fob us off with a phone number and website. Had I not known who to specifically ask for, then we'd have walked out no better off (for the second time for my friend seeking help). Thankfully, the woman we came to see came out and treated us properly, and we made an appointment. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for people trying to get help here when the front of house doesn't have compassion for people looking for help.

Legal Aid and the quality of the services from legal aid (in my experiences) has been so bad that I wanted to take my own life. I tried to make them aware of what I’d been through and after 3 lawyers I still had no justice in court and the female lawyer did not make any attempt to defend me or put a good effort in. I am disappointed and disgusted by the lack of professionalism more so the level of service is so bad I almost became another statistic of suicide. I can only imagine how many men in this country have taken their life because of the way they are treated by police and the court in respect to their children. Yet still this injustice continues without any obvious improvements.
Sadly the practice of doing the bare legal minimum for us who rely on this system will continue to receive no proper professional conduct by this organisation.
