I was going through Macquarie for a TAC injury with Jess & Brittany. Last year in August I had an Orthopaedic surgery assessment where the person conducting it made me feel very uncomfortable. I brought this up several times and requested a neurologist assessment instead. I trusted that they would process this with TAC but they did not provide TAC with the relevant information so my impairment claim was closed. I had contacted their office via phone & emails over a 6-8 week period with no response whatsoever then when I spoke to Rhys for the very first time he told me that TAC had rejected my impairment request-this was not true which I found out the day after when I personally contacted TAC. Rhys was rude, abrupt and quite disrespectful towards me in the phone conversation. When I discovered that TAC had closed my case due to lack of information requested, I sent an email to Rhys in regards to this and he once again was extremely rude and terminated our agreement. He then had the audacity to send an ambiguous fees breakdown stating that if I go to another lawyer then his firm will need to be paid approximately $60,000 in fees, even though they were negligent and incompetent. I have now been going through a review process to have the neurologist assessment done which has been a very long and arduous process-it will probably go for approximately 2 years due to it now being escalated to VCAT. I have emailed an official complaint to the Lawyers Board concerning Rhys and Macquarie Lawyers. I am literally disgusted with the deception and his unprofessionalism. This has not only effected me mentally due to stress but also physically. I would never recommend these lawyers and personally I can’t believe others have had good results-I question if these reviews are even real and I hope that Rhys gets exactly what he deserves in the future!

Rhys Thomas was divinely brought into my cases, he was all about ''Humanism and Professionalism'' and down to earth and great fighter coming out victorious in my cases, surrounded by team full of same wavelength namely Brittany, Lesley, Julian, Alyssa and all who have and are working on my cases. I had TAC common law damage claim with one of the well known law firm for three and half years and then their incompetent lawyers told me that my claim is worthless and told me to go somewhere for opinion or don’t just claim. it was such a waist of three and half years of my life. Then I spoke to around 8-12 law firms their lawyers and assistants, all of them were useless, they didn’t had any idea about how to deal with my claim. Those all hopeless law firm made me hopeless and helpless too But then luckily I came across Maquarie injury lawyers Wheelers hill and my first call for queries was picked up by Principal Lawyer “RHYS THOMAS”, we had brief discussion and he was very happy and confident helping me. To be honest their work on my claim was mind blowing to me. The day I spoke to Rhys I felt I was in good hands. I got involved in a very minor car accident at fault without insurance, and intimidated by the other party's insurance company with an insane bill. When I was completely helpless not knowing what to do, Rhys Thomas helped me to figure out my situation and formulated an attack plan for me to get a fair solution. Finally I paid only 20% of the original price as full and final payment to close the case. Most of all, everything done by Rhys was completely free to me, including all analysis, advice and a mail to the insurance company. I couldn't thank enough to him for what he's been doing for someone like me during a hard time, mentally and financially.

Old school toffs from an inner city hyphenated partnership, stressing about the cut of their cloth.
Nor shall you find a fast talking franchised laywer with more moves than a real estate agent.
You definitely will not find an ASX listed legal company that is more concerned with its most recent dividend than it is about you.

What you WILL get.

Someone who truly gives a damn. And, when you are at your lowest that's is what you need. Sensibility and respect when working through the legal landscape. This small independent firm is an absolute gem and I am so grateful to have been accepted as a client.
