I spent many hours researching building and construction lawyers to represent me after a troublesome build and settlement experience. After reading the case studies on the Birch Partners website I put Michael Birch at the top of my list of who to contact. From the first phone call I knew I was on to a winner. Michael quickly understood the essence of my case and he proceeded to describe potential scenarios that could play out, the pros and cons and most important how to set up a rock-solid strategy for success. Central to the strategy was engaging an NCAT expert witness early on. The one Michael Birch engaged was very very good and reasonably priced. A total of 93 defects were identified, and the repair cost estimate was $94,000. The builder was slow and made a point of repairing the least expensive defects first and delaying the expensive defects. This led to action through NCAT. Ultimately, we had a win in NCAT, the cost recovery was the very best the law could provide and all major defects and the vast majority of other defects were completed.
