Just spent the weekend at the amazing Montrose House in Canowindra. On arrival we were meet by the fabulous Tommy who was the most consummate host and entertainer. The building has be beautifully restored and decorate, each room with a theme. Rooms were extremely well presented and clean as were the renovated bathrooms. Food was a highlight along with the drinks around the fire.

Staying at Montrose House was a wonderful experience. Every room in the house is decorated in a different theme, with art works and decorative objects everywhere! Tommy is a wonderful, generous host, welcoming us with coffee in the sitting room, and he even loaned my wife his luxurious sheepskin coat when the weather suddenly turned cold. Breakfasts in the opulent dining room are wonderful, especially his Eggs Benedict, which we had twice. We also ate a lovely roast dinner there on the Sunday evening.

Montrose House is such a wonderful place to stay. It’s full of old world charm, thoughtfully and creatively decorated by Tommy Jeffs. My room was so comfortable, the furnishings and artworks around the establishment added to the charm. |Breakfast was outstanding and I enjoyed a gorgeous buffet lunch with friends during my stay. |Tommy is such a wonderful host, generous, funny and warm. |Thanks Tommy, I looking forward to my next visit and to your excellent hospitality.

Your host,Tommy is a most engaging and colourful character who does anything to make your stay memorable. Montrose House is decorated in an eclectic style, the beds are comfortable and clean, Tommy prepared a lovely evening dinner and hearty breakfast for us. He is a most amazing gentleman, an OAM recipient for his charitable work a previous chef and his persona Talullah. I thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Montrose House is unique, quirky & full of interesting items collected over many years by the owner. There are lots of different rooms to enjoy.|Tommy Jeffs is the most engaging host & cooked an amazing dinner for a special occasion for 8 friends! Highly recommend this accommodation.

We were a group of 6 on a reunion and were so lucky to have two nights at Montrose House. This is a truly stunning old home, filled with artworks and treasures, comfy rooms with quirky furnishings, great food - the highlight being mine host himself, Tommy Jeffs. Such a warm, welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble and his stories and easy manner made us feel like old friends from the minute we arrived! We quickly discovered he is held in high esteem by the local community too. Spend a few days at Montrose House with Tommy - you will feel you've stepped into another world and you'll want to return - as we definitely will!

My husband and I had a fantastic two nights over the October long weekend for the Canowindra Baroquefest. Tommy was a fabulous host and extremely welcoming, from the cup of tea on arrival to the lavender in our bedroom. Everything was splendid - an amazing house with beautiful furnishings and decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious breakfasts and the sumptuous dinner on Saturday night. We felt very at home and most relaxed. Tommy treated us as one of the family! Great location too, in the centre of town, and easy to get to everything. Highly recommend.

we did not stay we had breakfast here as part of a tour, it was amazing !! wonderful staff great service, had a good walk around the ground floor, this place has been restored with a dedication to detail and quality, we will stay on our next trip !
