I’m a Canberran local, and I’m very disappointed to be in your general area.

A lawyer that can’t engage in communication when requested, is a worthless lawyer.

Do you know my phone is on, 24/7 ?
I answer my phone day or night to provide a service, and I’m certainly not earning $1750 per hour or whatever a city lawyers wage is.

I also resolve conflict to the best of my ability, even if it means that I have to accept losing some battles that I feel like I should win, because that’s maturity.

If you don’t seek to resolve conflict before it turns into a war, then you’ve lost.

Incompetence and negligence are my experience with MV Law Defamation. I paid $4k for 7 hours effort they didn’t complete and I had to chase them up. The resulting ‘concerns notice’ was apparently so amateurish, it was effortlessly defeated by the Department of Defence lawyers. At least I didn’t throw good money after bad - after chewing through their fee, they then spent the same again and another four months demanding I pay them for exceeding their fee by $312.40 (“only” 30 minutes of their time!). Only the threat of them embarrassing themselves in the small claims tribunal stopped the harassment and they didn’t get a penny more. Another expensive life lesson - never look back 🙂
