Exceptional Off-market Sale!

Zac, Sandy and the My Morris team have been nothing but exceptional in delivering on the sale of our property. Zac sold our home prior to going to market given his professionalism, expert local knowledge, connections and resources.

I rented through My Morris for nearly two years, sharing the apartment with a friend, and during that time, we were responsible tenants. We paid rent on time and communicated regularly. However, when it came to moving out, the experience was a complete letdown.

The agency’s focus seemed squarely on the owner’s interests, often at the expense of fairness toward tenants. Despite keeping the property in good condition, we were charged a large portion of our bond for minor paint touch-ups, which should have been considered normal wear and tear. Even more troubling, we were asked to sign an end-of-lease agreement that wasn’t legally required—an unnecessary and likely coercive request.

Only after raising the issue with ACAT did we manage to get a fair resolution, but the ordeal was exhausting. This experience made it clear that My Morris prioritizes the property owner, often ignoring tenants' rights and interests.

If you’re considering this agency, be prepared to fight for fairness during the move-out process. I would not recommend them to other tenants, as their practices feel unethical and, at times, even illegal.

I was a tenant with My Morris for nearly two years, and throughout my tenancy, I consistently paid my rent on time and maintained open communication. My Morris may reply to this review, just as they have to other 1-star reviews, portraying their fairness and commitment to helping tenants. However, anyone who has actually experienced being a tenant under them knows how little support you truly receive.

Renters, be cautious and document everything when moving in—take plenty of photos, even of minor details. In my experience, they were very strict with the final inspection and took more than just my bond. Be prepared and thorough to protect yourself.

Abbey, is absolutely amazing! I bought a property through her and throughout the while process she was clear truthful and timely with all communication! I never felt like she was giving me a schpiel about the place or any information! By the end I trusted her judgement and that she would act in good faith on anything that we discussed. I will definitely be looking for her if I ever buy or rent out the place.

Perspective of a buyer only.

Sandy was exceptional at the several opens I have attended where she was the agent, very kind, polite and full of all the information you could want. Based on that experience I would not hesitate to use her to sell my house.

Zac was disinterested, offered little to nothing by way of greeting “I’ll grab some details before you go in” was pretty much the entirety of our interaction before he paced around on his phone the whole time.

Not sure if staff member was paying attention to the application. I explicitly wrote my move in date. And got call from one of the agent saying that my application has been approved.
Again, got call from the agent and asked if I could move in asap, i told them that its normal for everyone to get 2 weeks notice to their previous owner before leaving the property. And replied that we won’t be able to move in before that date.
Third instance, i got email stating

“Thank you for your Tenancy Application.

We have received a number of strong applications for this property. Unfortunately on this occasion, the owner has decided to accept an alternative application.”

Funny thing is, that same property is still in the market.

Don’t play game’s just because you got upper hand. Play it wise.

Could it be very easy for you people, but its not for all. So, before considering or making calls, give thought as what you are saying and what is your act.
