It’s a big decision to go to a financial advisor and say ‘help us out’ but it’s one of the best financial decisions we’ve made in the past 15 years!
We were ‘running on the spot’ for years and really didn’t understand how to benefit from our current position.
We started working with Peter Hastie almost 6 years ago and are now not only in a better financial position, we’re also more aware of where our money is, how to make it work for us and a clear idea of what retirement (not too far away now) could look like!
Peter has always taken the time to explain each and every move, never pushing us - just laying out the facts and aims, working with our changing family situation and commitments.
To be honest, our one and only regret is that we didn’t meet him 10 years earlier! Plus he’s just a really awesome guy!

Peter Hastie has been my financial advisor for over 8 years. During this time he has provided excellent financial advice, not limited to navigating and greatly improving our self managed Super Fund to provide far greater returns. In addition he also navigated and arduous task of finalising and closing down the fund, more recently to provide a better super solutions heading into retirement. Highly recommend the team at Navigate, in Particular the Financial Planning capability, and Peter.
I was very skeptical at first, with my previous experience being Financial Planners just want to sell you Insurance products.
My wife and I were particularly pleased when the conversation was really tailored around understanding our situation, both now, and where we wanted to be, and then matching that up with our personality types to land on advice specific to us.
With many friends and family wishing they had sought advice earlier in their lives, im glad we found the right team and approach for us, with benefits already being realised after only 14 months.
