I recently sought the assistance of Navigate Law in handling the estate of my late mother. From the first meeting with Lauren I was put at ease as she guided me through the process. Lauren and her team of fabulous people were so amazing and caring. All my queries were answered promptly and I was always kept up to date with the progress. I would to specifically like to thank the wonderful Marina who was like my lifeline. What a god awful experience. Firstly, the lawyer, Marina was very unpleasant to deal with. She was rude, abrupt and now we find out, that she was dishonest with us too. We now find out that she was supposed to sign the mortgage docs because she certified our identification. She told us she couldn't do that because she wasn't a JP. This has caused us added stress and time delays. I would not recommend this company. We spent $500 for a rude, unpleasant "lawyer" to do half the job she was supposed to.

UPDATE: 18/09/2024. I received a call from Lauren, the principal of this practice. I was driving at the time to the JP once more to again sign mortgage papers and have our identification certified, which in my opinion was supposed to be done by them.

Lauren informed me that because they were supposed to be giving independent legal advice, they couldn't then certify documents etc and sign the papers because that would put them in conflict of interest. The lawyers we are dealing with on the other side say that's not the case, and I don't have the time, or the care to investigate this further. So, I will retract the dishonest comment above as I have no evidence either way...

However, the one star stays, because after being told she was on speaker phone with two witnesses, Lauren still threatened to take further action if I didn't remove at least the dishonest statement.

I am only retracting that because I have no proof either way and as stated don't have the time or the care to research it. Not because I was threatened.

My review stands. I do not recommend this place. Thank you.
