Yes they are good, but they claim to be cheap and affordable. But when people like me and others are struggling financially they are just very expensive, so can't make use of them. So then people like me and others just have to struggle in silence

An incredible group of people. Professional all the way through what is an incredibly difficult time. Family law matters are one's that create great anxiety and stress and I found New Way Lawyers were always supportive, providing sound advice and guidance all the way through the process and I would encourage anyone who is going through family law matters to please take the time to consider them, you seriously will not regret it. To also be Australia's only Not-For-Profit law firm is something that is so unrivalled in the industry and there is certainly no less value on service, support and assistance from a full scale law firm. I would suggest giving this firm a wide swerve. I was consulting them about probate for my mother's Will. The initial consultation took one and a half hours and cost $195 (most law firms charge around $20 to $50.00 for the initial consultation)
It was agreed that New Way Lawyers would write to my mother's bank, requesting that they waive the need to go to probate as the estate wasn't very large and there are only three beneficiaries. A draft of the letter was to be sent to me before sending to the bank.
After a week, I was on the point of ringing the firm to enquire as to how the letter was going. The same day, even before I rang them I received an email requesting $600.00 be deposited into their trust account.
I rang the firm to ask if it took a week to ask for funds, how long would it take to send a letter. I was told four weeks. I couldn't believe it and asked the receptionist if she was serious. She said she would check with the solicitor. She did and came back to say, that that was correct, it would take FOUR weeks to write a letter.
Since then I have engaged another law firm. They sent a letter to my mother's bank within a week. They have also told me how much the process is going to cost, right down to dollars and cents.
They charged nothing for the initial consultation, and have refused my offer to deposit funds into their trust account. They have said it will all be settled when the matter is finalised.
I think New Way Lawyers motto "People before profits" should definitely be changed to "Profits First".
I would definitely not recommend this firm to anyone.

Very unsatisfied with the "service" - very judgmental, unable to express a client's wishes, nil final service provided due to complete lack of regard or understanding. Highly recommend NOT dealing with this lot.
