Several years ago I employed Mr. Maait to represent me in a civil litigation case. Mr. Maait was extremely unprofessional, and I believe he became careless and took advantage of myself and my mother who doesn’t speak English as a first language. He interviewed my mother, who only speaks Maltese, without an interpreter and charged an exorbitant amount of money compared to what I, and she, have experienced with other lawyers. I have a disability myself, and was relying on Mr. Maait’s skills and experience to help me with this matter. Instead, his unprofessional and rude manner left me with a regretful experience. He was rude to the presiding judge who reprimanded him for this in court. I believe his lack of care and his contempt for my case cost me a lot of money and caused me incredible amounts of stress over the proceeding years. I would not recommend anyone employ his services if they want to be represented justly.
