I purchased a chair from officeworks last year and it broke so I went in to get it replaced as it is still under warranty. I went to Monavale. When I walked in there was 4 staff members standing around chatting and nobody greeted me or asked if I needed help. I approached one of the members and kindly asked what I needed to do. The young girl said just take it to the counter and they'll figure it out there. She was very dismissive when i asked for assistance. I proceed to go over to the counter where I was ignored once again. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed and felt like i was being an inconvenience. I said excuse me and an older lady named Liz came over. When she came over to assist me was so rude right from the get go. I explained to her what had happened and asked what the procedure was to get a replacement. She rudely said that I needed to have the chair with me and I told her I do. I ran back to the car and came back and explained what the issue was. She then rudely asked if i had the receipt. As I pulled it up I asked what information she needed. I showed her the receipt on my phone and then she snatched the phone from my hands without asking my permission. As she was processing the replacement on the computer she walked away from me not saying that she needed help or that she was checking on what to do. She left me standing there. Liz then came back with another gentlemen. I then had to explain AGAIN what happened. Thankfully the gentlemen was really helpful. If I could give Liz a direct review I would give her negative stars.
I work in customer service myself and know how to treat customer properly.

We went to get passport photos today which went well until we got to checkout. The cashier asked my partner if he wanted to donate to a youth mental health charity to which he declined. The cashier pointed to my baby and said “well your kid’s going to be struggling someday, look, she already looks sad and is thinking ‘daddy doesn’t love me anymore.’” We kindly walked away as a good example for my child, but lady- children are not your tool to use to guilt parents into donating to a charity. It’s absolutely disgusting that you would use a baby and suggest they’re going to have mental health issues and that her parents don’t love her because we didn’t make a donation. You should be ashamed of yourself and clearly need more training, especially when fundraising during this cost of living crisis. I’m sure the charity would be ashamed of your nasty tactics. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Took laminating to get done of my deceased sons hand prints and they did the worst job. In the second attempt (from photo copies that I didn’t want, I wanted the original but didn’t have much choice,) the guy laughed bc the machines (so he said) weren’t working properly. Absolutely disgusting attitude.How anyone could find that amusing is beyond me. It was one of the last precious things I had to remember my son by. NEVER GET LAMINATION DONE THERE. No stars!!!!

I needed some high performance SD cards for the next day. I was able to get what I needed and best of all at 8pm at night. Early to late Officeworks opening hours is alway fantastic when you work long hours like I do.

Secondly, a shoutout to Nick for his excellent customer service last night. My husband and I visited the store late in the evening to look at office chairs, and despite the hour, Nick welcomed us warmly, took his time assisting us, and never rushed our decision. His knowledge and helpful attitude made the experience even better.

Totally love this officeworks, staff are very friendly and helpful, they give great advice on items you need , ive also witnessed some customers pestering staff while they were serving other customers , totally not called for, let them do their job and wait your turn.

I'm seeing some of these reviews and am quite surprised with some of the negative comments... so thought I'd bring some 'clarity'. First off, these guys and gals are great. In my (gee, it must be over 15?) many years of attending this store, I have received nothing but excellent service. And, yes, there's been times I've been in a sweaty hurry to urgently get stuff done (printing) or desperately needed an ink cartridge (or whatever), and found the right advice/product to solve my issues. I should also say, this joint gets crazy busy at times; so, for those that are too precious to wait and take cheap shots at the staff on this platform (because their heads were down and didn't spot you), then how about applying a touch of patience and working in with these overworked Officeworkers? And, no, I am not a parent/relo/friend of any of these employees and have no connection whatsoever... I just like the fact they're there when I need them. So, well done Mona Officeworkers. Keep up the great work!!!
