I will never forget or forgive the treatment of my mum from this place. They are absolutely disgraceful in their care of the residents. My poor mum was left in pain, and ended up being hospitalised due to them not giving her, her medicine. She would cry when I had to leave, saying that they were mean to her. They kicked her out and dumped a dying woman at the Logan hospital, as apparently she needed 3 nurses to give her a shower every 3 days. I will never forgive them for how she was treated in the final stages of life. The management only care about money, end of story and have a lot to answer for as far as I'm concerned. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

My dear Mother spent 5 years at PLC Mt Warren Park, passing away 2 weeks ago. My sincere thanks go to all staff and volunteers. While experiencing mild confusion in the early years her true personality was evident and staff got to know the real person. As her cognitive condition became increasingly difficult to deal with the wonderful staff were so understanding and on most occasions they could say to us how long it would be before a particular episode passed. My siblings and I were fortunate to be able to visit Mum very regularly so we had ample opportunity to witness the care she was receiving. Most of us considered the staff our friends and we will miss seeing them.

Of course there were occasions when we were not entirely happy with different things. On each occasion we spoke up to staff and on a couple of occasions we requested an official meeting. Each time our concerns were listened to and acted upon to our satisfaction.

We collectively feel that Mum was in the best possible care and would not hesitate to recommend PLC to anyone.

Air conditioning never worked properly from day one now leaking water. Food really bad and not what is ordered. Buzzed for a nurse waited over 15 minutes still had to go out and find someone. Care very under staffed and not up to any standards. Building is beautiful but care not good at all, been 5 weeks and still no princess chair for my mother to get transferred out of bed into. In the first 4 days there mum had 3 falls out of bed apparently the bed alarm wasn’t working. We are in everyday to check on her thank god.

We love this community for our loved ones. Since our first tour, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, and nothing is ever too much for them. It doesn’t feel like a care facility - It is truly a new home for loved ones with extra support. Our family member is very happy here, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

My father died because he had ongoing sepsis and wasn’t recognised by staff, despite myself letting the home know he was clearly showing signs of being unwell again. He had only just been discharged from hospital and was treated for sepsis. He was still on antibiotics at the time he went septic and died. I followed this up over multiple days including Christmas Day on phone calls and emails. My dad went unresponsive on December 30, they transferred him late on that day to hospital. it was quickly determined he had advanced sepsis and he died at 130am on New Year’s Day this year. Dad was exceptionally sick earlier in the year, and staff didn’t recognise once again. He ended up being septic and required a procedure to be performed on his gallbladder. This only occurred due to me chasing the nursing home and enforcing them to send him for care and to re-check with qualified clinical nursing staff. Over the years of his stay he remained in his room with his window shades down and he developed depression. He did not like to go to the main eating area because his first experience of that was elderly people telling him “you can’t sit there, that’s Jack’s chair!”. My dad went septic and unresponsive early December and that was the SECOND major health episode of which they failed to act in time. Then the hospital returned him to the home to seal his fate in the second half of December. In years gone by they also lost my dad’s clothes and my brother had to buy him a new wardrobe. I told the admin and was given no solution. I also emailed them about the absolute disgusting mess in his room with dirty and clean clothes randomly around, and many used razor heads on the sink. They never responded to that email. It was honestly disturbing and the saddest part is the person left in charge as power of attorney is the only one who gets a say, even if it’s against the wishes of the resident. My dad never wanted to live there and I’m so sorry that he spent 5 years there from age 65 there. He died at 69, two weeks before his 70th birthday. We were going to take him to Siromet for a nice day out. I was trying to get him moved to a better facility in Brisbane bayside or Gold Coast, as these were actually meaningful locations to my dad. He was never a Logan man and unfortunately being transferred to live there after his stroke in 2019 was the worst experience ever. They also have a behaviour file on my dad describing horrible behaviours that are 100% unlike my dad. Never did I ever ever witness this when I visited him. Unfortunately, he was deeply deeply miserable in that hell hole. The day before he died, he was left sitting in his poo nappy for a long time. My brother walked in to discover how disturbingly smelly the room smelt. He immediately asked the staff to change him. 2 days before death I noticed he was whispering instead of talking and wasn’t eating - staff weren’t concerned. I also noted faces of staff i had never seen before - “temps”. Most of the staff have very low level skills with only one RN available who you don’t ever see when you visit. Dad had complex conditions and they were totally incompetent to deal with it. 0/5. Do not recommend. Directly related to my Dad’s suffering, health implications as a result of failure to act, and ultimately death. My dad was 69.

This is a delightful welcoming community with lots of appropriate activities with residents specific needs in mind. My brother is very happy and well cared for here.

I do not suggest putting anyone in this facility what so ever. The staff are rude, the place is unhygienic and without a doubt the residents are neglected
