PJ Carey is the most unprofessional and amateur lawyer in Nowra and surrounding area. Myself and many friends have come across him in several instances over past 5-6years and have found him to be pathetically inept and always draws thing out unnecessarily and (still )loses every case . Only good thing about him is several of my friends are now either students of, or practising law after experiencing first hand (and winning) against Phil. Save your money and time and avoid using this clown.

Very efficient. I engaged Phil Cary solictors for a conveyancing matter in 2021. Exceptional service. His assistant, Naomi is very hardworking and dedicated and seemed to be proactive in keeping up to date with the settlement process as she did not have to refer to notes when we phoned to check progress. I also had occassion to consult with Phil Carey regarding a family law matter. Phil was able to identify the problems with my matter very quickly and was extremely supportive. Very good prices for conveyancing as well.

This man appeared for my son regarding a criminal matter, whilst my son was in custody. After visiting my son and receiving certain instructions which were agreed to, Mr Carey turned up at court the next day and proceeded to do NONE of it. There was digital footage involved with the case, which Mr Carey promised to watch overnight and then visit my son to discuss plea options. Carey did not bother doing either of these things, then walked into court and entered a plea of guilty, AGAINST my son's wishes. After the afforementioned footage was played in court (which Carey was seeing for the first time) he jumped up and said 'Well, I just don't know what to say'! This was pretty much the extent of his defence of my son, who received a sentence of 20 mths with a non parole period of 14mths. This was a ridiculously over-the-top sentence for the charge faced by my son and I would urge anyone considering hiring this man, P.J.Carey to think long and hard before doing so.

Absolutely unprofessional took my case then 18 months of lies and doing nothing dropped my case over the phone via his PA ..If you want stuff done do not use him .
