The room was cool and airy with a great verandah, tables and chairs for morning coffee. The pool was lovely but I prefer to swim in the sea. The jacuzzi was warm and relaxing, lovely to sit there under the sky. Table tennis and tennis gear was provided. The common kitchen was fabulous, even a morning Age there every morning. I extended my stay because it was such a relaxing holiday, with so much provision for self-catering and a lot of extras provided. Your room isn't cleaned every day but you can get fresh towels, tea, coffee, milk yourself when you need them. The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, just our style! The genuinely respectful and generous spirit of this place (and Richard the manager) is very rare. Please do not ruin it for others.

The history behind it all is fascinating, feels like a step back in time. We were unfortunate that during our visiting time most places were closed for dinner but it is only a short trip into Queenscliffe. Room sorted us out for the night and there is some lovely scenery a short walk from the motel. Room was tidy, well kept and a comfy bed.

Just spent 4 nights/5 days at the Guest House and had a super time.
Our room was great and we have absolutely no complaints at all, in fact we hope to return in the very near future.
The Guest Kitchen is perfect, one can purchase and cook their own food should they wish or alternatively Lonnie's Fish and Chips along with several other coffee shops and cafes are fabulous. Highly Recommend.

I won't complain at all! Even before I booked a room I knew it was an historical building hence old.
BUT.... wait for it.... way better than most hotels I have visited.

1- amazing communal kitchen with EVERYTHING you need to cook and enjoy your own meals! Free breakfast available.
2- swimming pool! My kids loved the pool
3-Sports area: from tennis, basketball, soccer, cricket etc just name it. My kids LOVED everything.
4- Safe beautiful car park behind the guesthouse
5-Very clean towels in the hallway, available for guests to pick ( both swimming pool and bath towels) first time using hotel towels in a long time.
6- Access to the shops, access to all the beaches around! My kids and I walked to the shops every night for dinner and back for dessert as it was only a few 2-3 minutes walk and the shops ate beautiful with the beach front views!
7- Easy contactless checking and free wifi
8- Not forgetting emergency contact person ( Richard) always ready to help.
9- Electric blankets was a bonus for me as i get cold at night
10- Extra washrooms and shower rooms was another bonus especially if you are using the kitchen, sports area, swimming pool or walking to your room with kids who can't wait to use the washrooms. As a mother this was amazing! As kids always waiting to use the washrooms at the last moment when getting into cars.
I was in room 17 downstairs but I loved it and was missing upstairs with backyard views and balconies

I would definitely bring my kids here again

Always admired the building and wanted to stay there. Our room was very small upstairs no view so next time would go downstairs. The communal kitchen was spot on everything you would need to use was there and more. Lots of variety of cereals, orange Juice, coffee machine, very large 4 door fridge kitchen 5/5. Great location large swimming pool, free washing machine and dryer ?

Port Lonsdale Guest House is awesome. It is the perfect place for groups of friends to go away together, but also have their own space in separate rooms. We have stayed here as a group of a friends twice. There are plenty of communal areas for groups to hang out, like in the lounge, the kitchen or in garden, but then separately retreat to own room.
It is really well located between the Port Lonsdale shops and the light house/surf beach and is walking distance to both.
The rooms are extremely clean with crisp new bed linen and comfortable beds. Both times we have stayed in the family suite motel room, which is great for us as there is a separate room for kids with shared bathroom in between.
The place is unbelievably well equipped. There are several BBQ in the grounds, a kitchen which has everything needed to cook, with a coffee machine that makes good coffee. There is a fire pit, with firewood and marshmallows provided. The kids played tennis and basketball and racquets and balls are all provided. In summer the kids use the pool.
This place is the best and we will return again!

Well kept guesthouse. We stayed in a room at the rear of the property - not in the original building. Room was clean and well provisioned. Quiet being at the rear of the premises. Guest lounge was comfortable. We dined at the inhouse restaurant and it was excellet. Overall a lovely place to stay for a weekend.

Great stay. Absolutely immaculate, gorgeous inside & out. Very 80’s so really funky. Easy contactless check in-extra towels, milk tea etc all left out so you are able to help yourself. Richard was so lovely and prompt in replying to my queries. Highly recommend and will def stay again. Thank you
