I approached Laila for guidance on my GST and business tax return, but she struggled to grasp the issue and offered incorrect advice. Her insufficient knowledge of taxation led to me being penalized by the ATO. Subsequently, I learned that she holds an Arts Certificate and is unqualified in this vital professional service.
They have English communication issues too.

I am very disappointed with the recent tax return service I received from your firm. My service accountant was Laila.

1. Medicare Levy Issue: We were charged for a Medicare Levy, yet your team had no explanation for why this occurred. I would expect an accounting firm to have clear knowledge and guidance on such matters, but instead, we were left with no answers.

2. Lack of Support: When I requested assistance in amending the issue with the Medicare Levy, your firm was unwilling to help without charging an additional fee. This gives the impression that your focus is more on charging for every small action rather than providing satisfactory customer service.

3. Unexpected Charges: When I initially engaged your services, I was given a quote for the tax return process. However, my husband was later charged extra due to an additional step, which was not communicated upfront. This lack of transparency is concerning, and it feels as though additional fees were added without proper justification.

The combination of unexpected costs and unhelpful responses has led to a poor overall experience. I believe that a firm focused on good customer service would have worked to resolve this issue without asking for further payment, especially when the cause of the problem wasn’t clearly explained.
