I just wanted to say thank you to all of the Nurses, especially Jenny and to Doctor Nathan for taking such good care of me when I presented to the Emergency Dept. Friday evening. My symptoms were a bit of a jigsaw puzzle; and whilst all of the pieces were being put together- I felt safe and in extremely capable caring hands.
You guys are amazing; Redlands Hospital is certainly my Hospital of choice.
Thank you so much🙏
Kindest regards,
Jules

My appointment was changed by the hospital 3 times prior to me arriving to my finalised appointment time, i was on life support last year in this hospital and couldn’t even get a referral from the hospital to have an MRI, after the fact my doctor told me there is a strong chance I have pancreatic cancer. I them sourced my own means to do all of this. Now to have a review a year later……. Turned up on time, all details ready. I am at work and have taken a break to be here to find out if I have cancer. I now have been waiting over an hour to be seen.

I find it so unfathomably rude people thinking there time is with more than others. Even doctors. Why can’t we get a text to say “running a hour and a half late” sorry! It’s 2025. Do better. There SHOULD NOT be admin errors or teething issues with appointment times being figured out around people’s health!!! This isn’t a nail appointment !!!!

I had day surgery at Redlands Hospital this week and I couldn’t fault the experience. From the admissions nurse to the surgical team, every staff member was professional, kind, and attentive. I can experience anxiety in medical settings, but the team was incredibly accommodating and made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the whole process. Special thanks to the nurses and anaesthetist for their gentle approach and reassurance. I truly appreciated their support—it made a big difference. Thank you to all the staff for such excellent care . Jennifer

[Update] - So if Redlands hospital did go ahead with their plans of discharging then my partner would of been sent home. Greenslopes discovered today after more investigation that she also has fluid in the lungs also known as pneumonia. Well done Redlands!!!!! FAILURE HOSPITAL

“Welcome to Redlands Hospital: where the triage is quick, the discharge is quicker, and the paperwork is never actually done.”

Nine years ago, this place was amazing. We had our son here and it was smooth, efficient, professional — the kind of experience that makes you want to send them a Christmas card every year. Fast forward to now, and I’m not sure if they lost all their competent staff in a game of hospital bingo, but the difference is night and day.

These days, Redlands feels like the Fyre Festival of healthcare. The doctors and nurses treat patients like speed bumps — something to get over as fast as possible — and the information flow is so bad it makes you wonder if the staff are all sworn to secrecy by the CIA.

Most recently, my partner was rushed in with FOUR blood clots. Two in the legs, two in the lung. That’s not “mild inconvenience” territory, that’s “could die” territory. Triage actually worked this time, and she was seen quickly, but then after one night of treatment they tried to discharge her. Like, “Yep, two blood clots in your lung — walk it off, champ.” Thankfully, our doctor at Greenslopes stepped in like the voice of reason and demanded a transfer.

And that’s when the Redlands circus really kicked off. We were told the transfer paperwork was done and all we had to do was wait for an ambulance. Six and a half hours later, still no ambulance, still no updates, still no meds. Apparently, you only get information here if you’re loud enough to scare the staff into remembering you exist. Finally, an ambulance arrived around 9pm. My partner cried with relief — only for the staff to go, “Oh wait… paperwork’s not actually done.” You couldn’t script this level of incompetence.

By the end, we weren’t patients anymore. We were contestants on Survivor: Redlands Edition — except instead of winning a million bucks, you get PTSD and a bill.

Redlands, you need to seriously rethink how you operate. This isn’t a fast-food drive-thru where getting people out the door quickly is the goal. These are lives you’re handling, and right now you’re handling them with the care of someone juggling chainsaws blindfolded.

If you value your health — or your sanity — go literally anywhere else. If I could give it Zero stars I would!

I have recently had my second bubba via C-section in Redlands and I would like to thank everyone at the hospital. I had a very pleasant, lovely experience which has healed me from my first birth traumas. The midwives were all lovely and helpful, I felt cared for. Especially would like to thank Mel and Karen for being very amazing!
The operation team and OB were extremely friendly and professional. My wound has healed super fast! No issues.
I love the peacefulness of the hospital environment and the fact that the hospital is small. Highly recommend! 💕

Disgusting treatment of patients and they send them home rather than treating their conditions.
Who leaves an 80 year old in a backless hospital gown to freeze instead of simply handing them a blanket (after they have SAID that they are freezing), then sends that 80 year old home, telling them to "treat" their (UNTREATABLE) condition at home without medical assistance after being sent immediately to hospital by their GP due to the severity of their condition?!?!
I do NOT recommend this awful place, their awful staff, or anything about them and I'll be reporting them and their disgusting treatment of this very senior person today.

Genuinely the worst hospital I've ever been too, and I have lived in the redlands for over 10 years now. The triage and administration nurses are extremely rude and unprofessional. The last 2 times I have been to this hospital I've been completely dismissed and treated like an inconvenience. I dont understand why any of these nurses are in the healthcare field when they clearly don't care about helping anyone and refuse to do their job. I could see a bunch of stickers around the emergency waiting room to remind customers to be respectful etc.. it's just extremely ironic that the rudest people in there were the nurses themselves. You should probably have a look into the root of the problem, your nurses. Especially when they are the first point of contact in the hospital

Had an appointment with cardiologist l got there on time. The receptionist fluffed around not finding file l had letter notification in my diary asked if it would help.
She got my name up said it's canceled l asked why she said doctor isn't in. Lied as while l was waiting a woman cane up and said my cardiologist appointment is finished where do l pay for parking.
I was told a new appointment has been set in October, l was told that my heart condition is serious and l should be seen every six months, this was told by last cardiologist 6 months ago and l will possibly having open heart surgery in 2 yo 3 years.
I have seen 3 specialists, first one was more interested in his phone than me and tests done won't be looked at for a year, l complained hot a different doctor, he told l have had a massive heart attack l was frightened and confused got in touch with hospital and told he's sacked your seeing someone else.
This time a lovely doctor female, she told me gently about my heart a new valve is needed and l have a blockage it is serious and that l should see someone every 6 months. Most probably a new doctor now have deemed that it is serious l'm not important so l got cancelled and now have to wait 5 months to see a specialist that is if not cancelled again.
If l have a heart attack, they will have a lot of questions to answer to. Not only did l have no notice to cancelation but to be given a appointment in 5 months is not following duty if care.
I have sent email to health minister. I hate doing that but only way to get respect from the mighty medical profession, who believe that the patient should mean that we patiently wait well I'm not taking it anymore. The government heath system is broken and some of the administrative staff that sit on their seats and don't interact with the public and see the way the staff treat us with no empathy or duty of care.
