Arrived 10 minutes early to our session, checked in with admin, only to be asked by a different admin 15 minutes AFTER allocated appointment time he said 'who are you guys what time is your appointment' then I just left, my child's father stayed and said who we were there to see and names, again, and was told by this admin that the other admin didn't 'push a button' that notifies the therapist that the client is there
This is beyond a joke
I shouldn't have to sit in that tiny waiting space with tears down my face any longer than absolutely necessary I am literally there to get help and the admin can't do their job

I did property mediation here.
We had a 2 hour visit. The first hour was spent with the lady individually explaining to each of us how it works (1 hour in total). Then she spent 45 mins with my ex partner writing things down etc. When she came back to me she said I had 10 mins left to go through it and make my offer. This flustered me and as I kept trying to go through it and make sense of it she kept pointing out that my time was up. So anyway, session one over. Then she told me I had 3 months to book another session. So I went away and started gathering documents etc so that I could make an informed offer. The 3 months was almost up so I called back with a few days to spare to book the second session. The receptionist took my details and said she would call back. She called back 4 days later, the day after the 3 months was up, and said I couldn't book a session because the file had been closed because the time was up.
If they were about to close the file, there is no reasonable explanation that can be given for not contacting me to say it was about to be closed and giving me the opportunity to book a session - so if it was closed because of poor communication between staff, this would have avoided that.
This service is available to people who are in highly stressful situations, and I just feel like all they do is add extra stress and waste time. The staff aren't professional, they are cold and disorganised. They don't communicate well. I don't even know what to say.

After I had given a brief and concise update on the situation, to which the response from the facilitator was "I'm not here to be persuaded" we began the session with the other party demanding a specific course of action.

the facilitator based on her language eluded that I needed to be more willing to be lenient and compromise my boundaries and integrity (further than I already had to even make mediation possible) due to the other party making "suggestions" (demands) that I was trying to open up for collaboration the other party ended the session short by leaving since what they had raised was "not up for discussion"

I came to this process with hope for progress. The reality is a frustrating, unfair, complete waste of time and money to anyone fighting for their child's best interest against a party who is unwilling to at all cooperate and co-parent.

The mediator was NOT impartial given that I was told at the end of the session to be more considerate and that I should feel sympathy and make compliments to the other party. I know based on the way I was spoken to in my session that this was not how she spoke to the other party.

The website also states that they offer extra services around this matter. When I asked, the mediator told me "no extra services were not available" and that "you should just take legal action"

A drastic rework of the mediation process needs to be done.

There is a lady at the front counter, possibly admin/reception that that did not give the most welcoming feeling. My visit was not for myself but I felt If there was someone who had finally built up the courage to walk in there to try get help they would have spoken to her and left. It was expected you knew what you where coming for and if you didn't have an appointment it's was a bit to bad. For this place to be recommended from a DFV point of view, this would be more than off putting to just get some help or a sense of direction. All other aspects where nice but that service was very cold and unhelpful. I hope this feedback goes to good use to be a bit more thoughtful.

Disgusting company I told the lady I was struggling in life and with depression was told sorry we don’t make appointments we will text you in a month and it’s up to you to contact us back least if I had a appointment I. Would have something to struggle towards but nothing use are the reason why people do horrible things to them selfs I would highly recommend people never to waist there time with this place go see your doctor. Men don’t be scared to ask for help just not from here

Had a friend that was through this place and he was suffering really bad mental health issues and was on the point of no return and they told him that there's nothing they can do and closed his case straight away because they didn't know/wasn't trained to deal with a situation like this.. the only thing there useful for is taking the government's money..

DO NOT USE THIS service there are other services out there like Anglicare legal mediation with lawyer legal aid will cover that but please do not use this service they are unreliable and cover each other's backs do not bother asking for team leaders because they will say the same thing as the mediator site manager will do the same thing as the team leader they will not do a proper review on your complaints if I could give them a zero I would of this is the worst service I have ever used in South Australia
