We were left without resolution

We moved into our first house. The day of moving Water is gushing down wall at bottom of stairs, upon closer inspection we noticed the brickwork had cracks throughout. The building inspector company HouseSpect did not pick this up in their report. We had spend $25k repairing the problem area of house. We were wanting some legal council to go after the building inspection company Houspect and possibly old owner for not disclosing problem with house.

Upon reaching out to Rosendorff for legal help retainer, they said we had a case and would. We paid their retainer, we had about 4-5 email exchanges, which were invoiced for.
Mid consultation they sent me a request to google review, which at the time they were providing a good service so of course i gave a good review.
They did write a letter of demand and submit to building inspection company and previous owner, after which time Rosendorff Lawyers did not reply to final emails.

We have been left further out of pocket and with no resolution.

Although our business suffered a devastating breakin we assumed most of our losses would be recovered through our insurance policy… wrong! The denial of our claim Re traumatised us all over again.
We approached several firms with our matter. Whilst all the firms were polite, only one firm, Rosendorfs, engaged in what we thought to be a genuine initial consultation. We were asked thorough questions about the circumstances before they put forward estimates of costs. They stood out from the firms we looked into. When I first began the process of seeking to undertake the formal process of disputing the works carried out by the builder of my brand-new unit, I had no idea really how to go about it. All I knew was stories from other people about how long and involved the process was.

This is how I, and the 3 other owners of units in my block, who were wanting to go through the same process, united as a group and came to retain the services of Rosendorff Lawyers.

The service that Rosendorff Lawyers has provided us began in 2019, and is only just about to be finalised this February 2025, with all owners set to receive final compensation.

Through the initial 4 years, the Rosendorf Lawyers, and in particular Ash Hetherington , but also Brett Samual, Chirag Grewel and Dianne, steered us through paperwork preparation, Building Insurance specifics and changes, undertaking the process to have the Builder declared insolvent and VMIA hearings. Since March 2023, they have assisted with the submission of DBI Insurance claim documents, facilitated communication with builders for quotes, and relayed correspondence from insurance company lawyers. This all combined into what seemed to be a protracted amount of time waiting for a final answer.

While there have been hurdles along the way, and a serious amount of time lapsing in going through all the processes required to happen, or even for answers to be received, Rosendorff Lawyers have always conducted themselves professionally, with our best interests at heart, and with the patience and understanding required when working with 4 parties at one time.

I am grateful for all their help, advice and am happy for them as much as I, that this very long case is finally about to close.
