Such a shame beautiful location looks great inside and menu looks good too. However service (staff) don’t want to be seen. We where the only ones in the restaurant we waited twenty minutes after ordering drinks before going up to ask if they would be long whilst the two staff members chatting. Rubbish under the table from previous lunch service feel sorry for the business owners. We left and had dinner elsewhere.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but were told where we were staying this was one of two places in town that served dinner. The other place closed at 7 leaving us with the Shark Bay Hotel as our only option. We didn’t end up eating here but did have a few drinks and a few rounds of pool. There are plenty of beers on tap, good selection of beverages. The inside has a few different areas to sit if you’re looking to escape any noise and eat a meal quietly. Good pub to stop into if passing through Shark Bay.

Billed as the most westerly hotel in Western Australia. They have a fun pub and restaurant that we dined at as well. The setup that makes for a great spot for evening sundowner and meal in Denham. Located just across from the jetties, the bar is right smack in the middle of town and convenient to visit from pretty much everywhere.

Fairly typical lineup of pub drinks and food menu, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well. We were served up a nice order of grilled sea bream and fried calamari both with fries and salad. Orders were reasonably priced, prepared timely, good plate presentation and quality food. All was enjoyed, would happy eat and have another round of drinks here next time in Denham.

We stayed last evening at this hotel only because we couldn't get into a caravan park. While I saw it advertised from $95-125 per night we were changed $130 per night. The room was old and in disrepair, however the bed was comfortable and the meal at the hotel wasn't too bad. We were really angry the next morning to be woken at 7;45am with carpenters and roofers drilling on the roof of our room, This went on until we left. Was really annoyed. Wouldn't recommend or stay there again

We thought that we would have a quiet drink overlooking the bay. Unfortunately the barmaid got the drink order wrong. When I mentioned it she said that they didn't have what I ordered so gave me something else rather than telling me a letting me change my order. She had one job...would give zero stars if I could.

The food was good. I had surf and turf which was yum. Hubby had Parma which was ok. However the bar manager was rude and very unpleasant. The other staff were friendly but you could tell they were all wary of her. Wanted to buy a bar sticker but they couldn’t tell me if they had them or not.

No pints . No clean glasses. Cash only eft pos not working . Ordered the steak burger it came all out 30 minutes later . Raw . Ate half got a refund . On drive home threw up . Thank god the footy was on . The only thing good about the pub.

Shark bay hotel.

We visited this fun traditional Aussie hotel (pub) a few times while in town.

First time we were hungry and keen for dinner but a little early and the kitchen hadn’t opened yet. We swore to return.

We had dinner the following night along with some fresh beer to wash it down.

We had the local shark bay sandwhiting grilled with chips and salad. So tasty. The fish was amazingly fresh, delicate and cooked perfectly. Great chips too which seems like a standard in this part of the country. The food came out super fast with a smile. The place was busy being a Friday night, quite a few locals and tourists in this fun place. Live band also due to start soon after we left.

We returned again the next day after a trip to dirk hartog island. We enjoyed a few more drinks and the atmosphere.

I can recommend this place and will return.
