I booked an appointment for 10am. I received two confirmation emails and a confirmation text 50 minutes before my appointment. I arrived 20 minutes early (because I hate being anywhere late and I have to drive in from out of town which is about 40 minutes). At 10, no one had arrived. I doubled checked my emails and text and made sure I had the right time and date. I called the available number at a little after 10. First woman was unsure why no one was there yet. She apologised and said she’d contact the team and hopefully they’d be there soon. I waited until 10.40 (I was only going to wait 20 minutes but I genuinely thought maybe the person was just running super late) and called again. Spoke to a man this time, he apologised and said they book the appointments from Queensland and there must be a mix up with the time zones. I pointed out that on the email it says 10am Sydney time; he did not have an explanation for this. I asked if I should stay or go. He apologised again and said I should wait because “I’m sure someone will be there soon”. I waited again until 11.10am. Called the contact number a third time and spoke to another woman. She apologised and said she would contact the team again and couldn’t understand why someone hadn’t turned up. 1 hour and 15 minutes. Ironically I leave this review because I got an email that asked me to: “Would you mind taking a moment to leave a good review on our Google page? Excellent testimonials from clients like yourself encourage others to select S.J. Ellis Accounting Services.”
Genuinely very upset. I chose this group because they were local and I thought they could help me. Left feeling very frustrated and stupid.

Another year means another tax completed with Steve and his team. We've had Deb process our tax for the last two years and we highly recommend her. She is professional, fast and doesn't miss anything. If you want a hassle and stress free experience then SJ Ellis are a great choice!
