I had a dreadful experience with Somerville Legal, and feel obligated to share my ordeal to warn others. This law firm operates with the ethos of rapaciousness, consistently overcharging fees while failing to deliver on their promises.

Upon delving into the background of the firm, I was shocked to discover that the founding partner, Tim Somerville, has a criminal record for financial crimes. He was convicted of breaching the Corporations Act and subsequently received a six-year ban from holding a company directorship. His clients also faced bans for two years each.

It's no surprise that such an unethical individual would foster a toxic work environment, reflected in the behaviour of the employees they hire. The staff at Somerville Legal are manipulative, greedy, and lack any semblance of integrity.

Before considering Somerville Legal for any legal matters, I urge you to conduct a simple Google search. Type in "ASIC v Somerville" or “Tim Somerville phoenix deals” and the truth about this firm's shady practices will become clear. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable and trustworthy law firm instead.

Worst experience that I ever had. Went to recover $500 and ended up spending lot more and they kept charging me for without notifying me. They will take advantage of you when are down so be careful

I attempted to recover my money from the tenant using the court order that was submitted. They promised full recovery, but only half of the amount was retrieved. They mentioned that their fee was only 5% at the end of the recovery process, but they charged me 50%. I recommend avoiding their services.

Matter ran for 2.5yrs. Throughout the term, I was always updated on the process. Had the defendant not been on a 24/7 ego trip, Ben and his team would have wrapped this up in 5 minutes.

Unfortunately for the defendant, the "delay, deny hope you die" attitude did not work.

I would like to thank the entire team at Somerville legal for their stellar efforts in all aspects of the case including Lucy, which also included the top gun barrister that they recommended, he was hungry and wanted blood, by the time it was over the defendant was haemorrhaging body fluids from her limp deflated body, and her barrister had lost 5kgs in perspiration from trying to defend a matter that they had no chance or wining from the get go.

Ben and his team are "top guns." Lucy was also a great help with clear and concise advice.
